Olga rooms in Portaria is a highly recommended accommodation for many reasons. First of all hospitability of Olga and her family is something you will experience at the first contact and I would like to point this as their big advantage. Our room was No. 10 (with fireplace) and it was so beautiful and cosy, decorated with fresh flowers (which was a very nice touch). Beds are comfortable and near the fireplace is a sitting area. Everything is off course very clean and this topic is something you do not have to worry about.|Olga's brother Kostas (or Costas, sorry for misspelling) is a person who decorated the whole building and when you come there you will see how incredible work he did. Every part of the house provides special emotion and you will surely enjoy it.|Within the building there is a restaurant with a large sitting area beside it (where you can relax, have a drink and watch TV). Olga and her family also have a small petrol station so you don't have to worry about running out of petrol.|And at the end I just want to say that Portaria is a beautiful village worth of staying at so please feel...
Read moreWe stayed at this hotel for three nights. The double room is reasonably spacious, with a large double bed and a sofa. There is a small balcony with a great view. The balcony has a table, chairs and pot plants.|||| It seems like a designer worked on the interior. The room is very cozy, decorated with all kinds of IKEA’s things - wall photos, clock, candles, all sorts of pillows on the sofa, wooden chairs, "vintage" nightstands and curtains.||||The equipment in that room included a fridge, an electric kettle and two kinds of herbal tea, a hairdryer.||||Breakfast was not included and paid separately, but it exceeded our expectations.||||The disadvantage was our check-in. We booked the hotel half an hour before arrival. When we arrived, the hotel was locked. It took some efforts to find someone who opened hotel for us. But, I could explain that it was a low season.||||Also a disadvantage was bad Wi-Fi connection in the room||||In everything else, the hotel was wonderful. I can confidently say that it was the best hotel in that our...
Read moreWe went to stay in Volos to visit our cousin and ended up booking this by mistake. It is located about half an hour up the mountain from Volos. We were very disappointed in the whole property. This was probably once a grand old property many years ago, but now it is tired, run down, neglected and not well maintained or cleaned. The rooms were big which is more than can be said for the bathroom. It was a struggle to squeeze into and then to find a plastic shower curtain with grime around the bottom was a shock. We seriously thought about walking straight out and trying to find something else but as we used a booking engine the cancellation fee would have hurt. We stayed 3 days and there was no sign of a cleaner for the entire time. We actually had to go and get our own toilet paper when it ran out. There is the remnants of a restaurant near reception but never saw it operating. We did ask about breakfast one morning and were told that we needed to let them know the day before. I would suggest you give...
