Both the hotel and town are not the place to go if you are looking for lots of people and you should know you need to drive windy roads or hike to get from place to place but that’s the magic for me.
Now on to the hotel. Beautiful, spacious room with a super comfortable Cocomat mattress. Gorgeous balcony. A fireplace that would be lovely in cold weather and even a kitchenette. Don’t expect a big screen TV or USB speakers here. This place is all about nature and tranquility.
A view to die for, that made me get up every day for sunrise. Millions of stars on a clear night.
And the owner... Nikos. I truly cannot say enough about this man. He is a one-man show. Welcoming guests, giving advice on what to see and where to go and even making a beautiful different breakfast each and every day. His calico cat Betty is also the sweetest thing there is.
Thank you Nikos. We found a perfect home on the Pelion and hope to be back really soon!...
Read moreEven before arriving in Hotel Maistra, I felt genuinely welcomed. The personal touch in every interaction made this stay truly special. Mr. Nikos' friendly, attentive service set the tone for a relaxing and memorable visit.
The room itself was absolutely beautiful, tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, and designed with comfort in mind. Large windows and beautiful balcony offered breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape with sea and mountain view, which felt like something out of a postcard. Waking up to such a picturesque scene each morning was a highlight in itself.
Breakfast was an absolute delight each day. A perfect mix of homemade flavors, everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and incredibly delicious. The homemade pastries and regional specialties were especially memorable.
Overall, this was one of the most comfortable and enjoyable hotel stays I’ve had in a long time. If you're looking for a place that combines stunning views, delicious food, thoughtful service, and a true sense of care, I can’t recommend Hotel Maistra enough.
Thank you Mr. Nikos, hope to...
