Besides, they just have set up a new parking lot around the corner for 10 vehicles]||From the reception to the check-in process and all the valuable information on the hotel, its facilities and the surroundings, arriving at MountGrace really feels like coming to the place of good friends or family members.||The lobby already radiates the warm, noble atmosphere of an elegant castle that we also found in the spacious suite. The interior decorating of the whole place was done with pristine quality material, a fine melange of marble, wood, and Zagoria stone, and a very tasteful eye for detail.||The bathroom has wonderful facilities, excellent water pressure and quality as well as high-end care products. The bed is comfy and wide, the plentiful windows provide for great views of the landscape.||The feeling of staying with friends is constantly nurtured by the exceptionally cordial and helpful staff. This starts with us being served breakfast on the terrace: Finally, no lukewarm buffet, but freshly cooked, Greek breakfast dishes prepared a la minute. By far the best breakfast we have experienced over the last three weeks travelling the country! The team goes the extra mile: For our early start to hike through Vikos gorge, they got out of bed early, too, to have fresh lunch boxes ready for us!||The Spa area is just perfect for relaxing after a day’s hike, but bear in mind, we are in Zagoria, so do expect a two-person sauna. But one that is turned into a scented paradise, totally private, and illuminated just for you by 30+ small candles. Read moreOn arrival our room smelled fairly horrible. The receptionist said he smelt it too when he showed us in but was quite rude about what the smell actually was. He insisted it was the fireplace. It doesn't really matter where it was from. It smelled. ||I asked if they had any room as didn't want that smell for two days. He offered a split level but it was 92 euro per night more!! Owning our own business we know that's a big NO! You don't charge for a room change when it's your problem.|| There were a few things wrong with this hotel. Mountain view in each room was in description . See my photos. Three windows of a wall in an alleyway!!!. It just makes the whole stay uncomfortable. Lies and rude manners when you yourself work 7 days a week all hours and come away for two days on your anniversary .||It's just very bad service not to ask the guests the next day if everything is ok. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and is situated a very short walk to the center of Monodendri. We had a suite with a balcony. The suite had two levels -- the first was a sitting room with a balcony overlooking the hotel's terrace and the mountain scenery beyond; the second was the bedroom and bath. Both were spacious. . The furnishings and decor were all very well done. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. It included cheese pies, rice pudding, cakes, breads, yogurt, honey, eggs of your choice cooked to order, juices, coffee made to order, etc, All very good.
