We visited for dinner 3 times and 4 a snack once whilst on our 5 day stay in Monodendri. We had the chicken pie 3 times. We loved it. A good portion, too. Also, I really enjoyed the feta wrapped in filo, with honey and sesame seeds. I had that 3 times, too. The greek salad was also excellent. Fresh and generous. Tzatziki nice, i do prefer more garlic, but it was smooth and tasty. My favourite was the Kopanisti. Loved it. Spicy and didn't want it to end. Unfortunately, the 2 meat dishes we tried were precooked and then reheated, making the meat very dry.. nice taste, but from my experience, I'd say it's all about the pies here. Friendly service, welcoming and helpful. One odd thing is that when we'd finished eating, the plates were always left on the table and not taken away.. until such time as you asked for the bill. Would've preferred them to be taken away once we'd finished. Great that they bring tap cold tap water to your table without having to ask. I totally recommend eating here, though.. especially for the pies. Thank you.

Mrs. Frosso is awesome. She wakes up at 5am every morning to make here homemade extra thin dough (φύλλο = filo) for her delicious 🤤 pitas. You really miss, if you don’t try them. The portions are huge and you can easily share a piece as an appetizer or even as a snack, if you are not hungry. Our favorites were the Spinach Pie and the Pumpin Pie - both have some Feta and Anthotyro, which is her secret ingredient. 🤫 But don’t tell anybody. 😁 Regarding the other dishes…feel free to order whatever you like. Everything is extraordinary good. The chicken (Kontosouvli) is tender and delicious. The Bifteki is one of his kind. 👌🏼 But don’t forget to ask them to grill the meet medium. The Greeks tend usually to grill everything very well done. 😅 The habe as well some vegan options. More a going to follow, as she told us. 😌 We usually don’t go twice to the same place, as we like to explore different flavors and recipes. We were within 4 days 3 times as Frosso’s place for here pies! 🤷🏼♂️😅

Excellent pies, fresh and from local ingredients. I tried two pies: cheese and chicken. Both were amazing. If I had another one, I would choose cheese. According to my tour guide, the cheese comes from local sheeps and goats. The cheese had an absolutely clean taste that you cannot get from a supermarket. Frosso is the owner and the cook, she does an amazing job, see her in the photo.

The best place to eat in Monodendri, and the square is simply beautiful when the weather is nice. Do yourself a favour and try it. We tried many dishes on multiple nights and everything was great. Some of my favourite dishes were the galotyri, the pork in wine, and the lamb chops. Free dessert was also included. Great people and great restaurant!

Very good hearty Greek food. In Greece, you never need to worry that they use any oil other than olive oil, which gives the food its wonderful taste. The food was served fast so no need to wait so long. The waiter was friendly and had a good sense of humour. We even got dessert for free. Everything was just great - can only recommend!

Lovely food at this restaurant on the square. The hortopita was absolutely delicious but the baked feta and gigandes were just as enjoyable. The outside tables were beautifully situated in the shade of a venerable plane tree. The service from all was welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended!
