Tavern "Vikos Gorge" — Restaurant in Zagori Municipality

We wanted to sit inside and presented fully valid vaccination certificate, but it couldn't be scanned because it's not an European one, so we were refused a sit and were suggested to sit outside in freezingly cold weather. While the Greek embassy website says: "The Tourism Ministry has clarified by press release that individuals vaccinated in countries that do not belong to the European Certificate program may enter these businesses by presenting their printed or electronic vaccination...

Was refused to go to the toilet although it is a basic human necessity, I know it is pandemic times but allowing people to wash the hands and use the toilet in 35C is simply not humane and if anything makes things more hygienic. I will not come here as I remember the lack of hospitality, the restaurant was completely empty I was ready to wear my mask yet they said due to corona I can only use the toilet if I consume. Makes one wonder if this is just a way to justify profit in...

We tried a bunch of restaurants in Monodendri and this was the best of all. Absolutely excellent and delicious food!! Try the stuffed tomatoes and the saganaki with ham, tomato and peppers. For dessert the custard filled phyllo pie was also terrific.

Service was also great. Very friendly. Stav was great! We enjoyed meeting and talking to you!
