Porto Giardino Apartments — Hotel in Zakynthos Municipality

We, Alfred (52) and me (56), spent 3 marvellous weeks in Porto Giardino. Everything was perfect for us. Everything! Pigi Plessa herself took us from the Solomos Airport in Zante Town to our tastefully decorated spacious apartment with excellent sea-view. There are about 50 meters to a little beach, that is only sometimes frequented by tourists, who live at Porto Giardino and some Greek people, who live nearby. There you will also find a little but recommendable fish taverna. Porto Giardino is a very quiete place and perfect, if you are looking for relaxation. There, you will get in touch with nature, if you want it. In the evenings we had nice walks in the olive groves. There are about 500 meters to the next supermarket and especially to a bakery you will like. There you will not only get bread, but also delicious greek bakeries, cakes and perfect coffee. For exploring the beautiful and interesting island of Zakynthos we would recommend you to rent a car. Pigi Plessa will also help you in this case, because she has always an ear for the wishes of her guests. Several times, we were in Zante Town by bus or by car. Realistically this is a 4.5 stars. The owner and staff who are present at the accomodation are really friendly and helpfull. The accomodation is located in a nice and quite area of the island, so it's perfect if you are looking for peace and quite. There is a nice little traditional place to eat very close. The beach that is close is ok. The rooms were nice and spacious, as well as the kitchen area, which also had extra beds. Some areas needed a little bit more cleaning, but that was compensated by frequent towel and bedsheet changes, which really surprised me. Everything. The room was big, clean and decorated so nice. It had everything you needed,and a kitchen with coffee,tea,sugar,electric kettle,flint,pots,plates,etc. Our room had a super nice view of the yard and the sea. The yard has a lot of plants,places to sit and cats! Pigi, the owner was super nice and she made a booklet to help the guests with all the necessary info ( taxi,tours,car,rentals,food places). ( You self checkin by calling her number on the front gate) There's a market ( with everything you could possibly need)a gas station,a bakery and multiple places to eat around.
