Hotel loma vista — Hotel in Útila

Lets start with saying it costs 170L (8$) per night for two.|The room has one Queen size bed or two single, one fan and one shelf (halleluja). Also some cockroaches. But thats it. Room facing entrance are terribly hot due to the sun and no shade. Two toilets for ten double rooms with a shower each. Never cleaned and constantly very disgusting. The owner said that she from new years 2016 will not provide toilet paper since it is to expensive. No soap in the toilet to wash hands after using the toilet.|Kitchen is disgusting. You dont want to touch ANYTHING. Some plastic plates that seems to been bought 10 years ago. A pan that lookes like it was found somewhere. Some pots in terrible condition.|We where supposed to stay for six nights but left after two. We rarely leave a place in advance. |I would not recomend this place. A few dollars more and you are in heaven...

We spent over a week in Loma Vista as were going to Sunjam. Great budget choice for non-divers, only 200 lempira for a double,especially as the rest of the island doubled their prices for Sunjam.||||Owner Mirabelle is lovely, a local who ensures you're alright at all times. Kitchen and bathroom cleaned every day. Hammock and communal dining area are great too and again cleaned daily. Our sheets were cleaned twice a week. We stayed at Loma Vista as it was off the beaten track. It was clean, friendly and quiet. The owner was lovely and chatty. Small kitchen available for guest use. It was within walking distance of the main strip but far enough away to get a decent nights sleep.
