El Castillo Garden Restaurant — Restaurant in Bay Islands

This is the BEST restaurant on the island, and all of Honduras. Honestly their food alone is a reason to visit but the ambiance, the chef, the staff and everything it offers is beyond expectations.

We went on New Years Eve and had to come back the next day, every dish offers a unique experience, everything from the soup to the main meal (all three included when you order a main dish). The flavors are something I’ve never had before and will be craving from today on. It carries a farm-to-table concept, and it shows on the freshness of the food.

The spot is perfect for a date, a quiet intimate dinner with friends or a place to unwind after a long day. The cleanest and coziest place in town, including the restroom!

I will be coming back every time I’m in Utila and recommend you check it out. Although the prices are a bit higher that the rest of the island, it’s a 100% worth it and you cannot miss it.

This was a really fantastic dining experience and I’m so glad I got to eat here! Everything was delicious: I had the salsa and chip amuse bouche, banana curry soup, garden salad with really great dressing, the pork loin, and caramel bananas. I also had a starfruit juice cocktail that was so different and yummy. The service and atmosphere were lovely and felt upscale while still honoring the vibe of the island.

The most impressive part for me was the fact that it’s all cooked in an open air kitchen and primarily on a residential stove. The brilliance that comes forth from talented, passionate people is a joy of life. Thank you so much for the amazing food...
