This is the BEST restaurant on the island, and all of Honduras. Honestly their food alone is a reason to visit but the ambiance, the chef, the staff and everything it offers is beyond expectations. We went on New Years Eve and had to come back the next day, every dish offers a unique experience, everything from the soup to the main meal (all three included when you order a main dish). The flavors are something I’ve never had before and will be craving from today on. It carries a farm-to-table concept, and it shows on the freshness of the food. The spot is perfect for a date, a quiet intimate dinner with friends or a place to unwind after a long day. The cleanest and coziest place in town, including the restroom! I will be coming back every time I’m in Utila and recommend you check it out. Although the prices are a bit higher that the rest of the island, it’s a 100% worth it and you cannot miss it. Make a reservation beforehand, it books quickly and it sits a few tables only, which makes the experience even better during this “new normal” times.

Farm to table Caribbean-Austrian cuisine, care of the owners of both backgrounds. Knowledgeable & attentive service. Menu consists of house specialties: schnitzel, lobster tail, spinach ravioli and more. Specials of Lionfish and steaks as available locally. All main dishes served with a warming soup of the day, followed by their fresh and delicious garden house salad - Love the creamy lemon curry dressing w crushed peanuts. Floral garden seating w soft lighting. All natural materials used in the owner crafted furniture. Date perfect or special occasion worthy. *Reservations encouraged *The ravioli is amazing! But a smaller portion comparatively to other meals... If you're really hungry get an extra apple or follow w dessert.

As an Austrian you might imagine how surprised and excited I was that there is an Austrian restaurant in Utila :) This place is gorgeous! The atmosphere in the garden reminded me of the beer gardens in austria that are a very popular go to place in summer. The service was very good, we got little Appetizers while we we’re waiting for our food and the food itself was delicious! They even had Schnaps an alcohol that is usually served in austria after a meal to help digest it :) if you’re looking for a little variety eating out you should definitely visit this place.

Spectacular dining experience. Equal to what we had at Mammut. Excellent service, pacing and value. Incredible flavors throughout the evening. Your entree includes a soup, salad and dessert. Not sure if we’d order again the shrimp or lionfish starters. Pork chop was first class, super juicy and tender. My wife loved the Austrian Ravioli. Our server, from Charleston SC, was the best server of any Utila restaurant we’ve dined at in the past two weeks. Outdoor setting was amazing. Loved the owners’ dogs and cat!

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely, romantic garden dinner here on our honeymoon! The ambiance is unbeatable. El Castillo has an impressive wine and beer list and the food was incredible. Luzia (the owner) and her team made sure we understood the menu options. It is apparent they are passionate about cooking and serving. They even sent out a special dessert for us for our celebration.

We did not expect to have Austrian food in Utila 😅 Lucía was a fantastic host and explained really well what all the dishes brought and what we could expect from them. We had great drinks, enjoyed an amazing meal and a lovely dessert. Will definitely return!
