there were sand flies inside the restaurant, crawling thru the placemats and biting while you eat. you’d expect this at an unkempt beach bar, not a “gourmet” bistro.

the staff sprayed a commercial air-freshener next to me while taking my order.

be prepared to be fully on display to every person who walks or drives by. decor is cute/chic but uncomfortable.

i will not return. may be fine for a date night.

Had the lasagna at El Capitán and it was absolutely spot on! 🔥

The food was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and the price was just right for Utila – especially if you’re looking to treat yourself to a nicer dining experience without breaking the bank.

The restaurant is well-furnished, clean, and air-conditioned, which was a big plus after a hot day on the island. Definitely one of the more comfortable and well-kept places I’ve eaten at here.

Would totally recommend stopping by for a good meal in a chill, slightly more upscale...
