Hotel Casa Inn del Valle — Hotel in San Pedro Sula

First and foremost, it is not safe . People are allowed to walk in the front door wandering around the pool and restaurant area to the point of stealing property and walking out the front door. Management was not sympathetic even after seeing the videos of a man standing in the pool area receiving a phone call the walking directly to my property, reaching under everything, and grabbing my phone as if he knew it was there. This gives the appearance of him being helped by an employee as it was early in the morning, and only employees were around. Also, the air conditioners are old and loud and will wake you up every time they turn on. The swimming pool has 1 step ladder to get in. That ladder is missing a step. Causing me to scape my knees when I attempted to step in the pool . Having been there a few years ago, In my opinion the hotel is not investing in the up keep of the hotel and is not properly secured . One security guard two entry points basic math . My husband and I are from America and decided to stay at this establishment because of its close proximity to shopping, restaurants, and other local attractions. Since this was just an overnight, we didn’t have the opportunity to utilize all the amenities. We were greeted with a warm smile from the receptionist and the checking process was smooth. We were a little disappointed that we didn’t get a get the room we booked (double room, air conditioning, seating area, and tile/marble floor). We needed up with a room with 3 beds that was a little crowded, but did have air conditioning, hot shower, with towels, and the room was clean.
