Hotel Martell — Hotel in San Pedro Sula

Arrived late but assuredly there are two gated hotel parking lots. One before and one after the hotel on the same side. There are two guards who will point the way but the area is all one way streets, so getting back to the spot is not a simple go around the block. The double room is spacious. The front desk was helpful and efficient. There is a door separating the lift to the room wings but not sure whether that was locked after a certain hour. There is a safe and a mini refrigerator in our room but we didn't test it out. Just here for one night. Conveniently there are a few small foor street stalls just outside but just around the corner is a asado express (grill). And just toe blocks away a simple Chinese takeout restaurant. The hotel is just across from the hospital. The area LOOKS questionable but ISN'T. Family walked to the chinese restaurant with no issues. The only thing about our particular room is the dripping water from the air-conditioned. It was too late in the night to change rooms so we just used a trash bin to hold the dripping. Otherwise if you need a short stay hotel. This is it. Breakfast is included. Options were waffles, plato tipico, fruit platter and...

Sister & I stayed here overnight, on way to Roatan. The room was clean & beds were comfortable, with good hot water in shower, also. However, there were no tv channels in English, only Spanish. The employees at front desk tried to be helpful, but there's a huge language barrier here. We had also made arrangements with them for a pickup from airport, with dates, times and flight info, but no one showed up. Luckily they were able to get us to the airport the next morning. The many times I have stayed in Hotel Martell I have had nothing but good experience and wonderful service. The staff is most gracious and helpful and the location is convenient for it is close to restaurants and the mall. The rooms have wonderful beds, they are clean and have enough "closet" space for a person traveling light, especially on business. It has it all...wifi, hot water, cable tv, parking area but most important...IT HAS A RESTAURANT and the food is delicious!!!
