Georg Villa — Hotel in Balatonfüredi járás

Yes, the owners are not really the nicest, but we had a good vacation there. Weird thing was for example that they demanded us to pay the whole week stay in advance at check-in. We were wondering if they knew something about us maybe wanting to move out after just a couple of days... It was mid July... it would have been very hard for us to find last minute accommodation at Lake Balaton somewhere else. :)||Plus point that we got the anti-allergic pillows when we wanted to change the traditional ones provided in our room. The free wifi was also a good benefit. ||||Anyway the room was cleaned daily, the balcony was nice (we could eat outside and we even had 3 chairs, usually you can only find 2 on any balcony) and we had a small view to the Lake. There was however no mosquito net and that disturbed us since it was too hot outside to keep windows closed. Also the street - not so quiet, a lot of traffic for such a small street. ||The kitchen is OK, enough for what we wanted to use it for. If you would like to cook more, you should know the possibilities are limited to a small hot plate, not very efficient. There is a small refrigerator with freezer and a microwave. A family of 3 does not need more. ||Bathroom clean but other than paper, there is nothing provided. You have to bring your own towels and hairdryer. ||We had a parking spot in the villa's yard. Not very easy to get in and out but at least we didn't have to park on the street. ||The Lake is not very far but have to climb the hill to get back home. I'd say it takes about 10 minutes by foot to get to the pedestrian street near Balaton. ||||All in all we had a memorable holiday where the accommodation was not a minus point. We had...

Hotel was not the one on the picture. Owner took us to other hotel whit his car. Owner was very friendly, but he didn't speak English at all. ||Room was very small and ekstra bed was terrible. It fall apart in the night, when my son was sleeping in there. ||Wifi did work only when I was standing. ||There is no table of chair in the room. In balcony were only place where can sit. ||There is no air conditioning, so we sleep window open. Voices from street and other rooms was loud. ||This hotel is on top of hill, so walking from beach is hard. We didn't have car, but we should have, because distances were in that heat huge. There is local buses, but they worked only every 2 hrs. Taxis are hard to get. ||We have to pay to get to beach, and it wasn't good. The waterpark was better than beach.||Owner gave us lift to train and bought us ticket to budapest. He was only good...

When arrived to the hotel, (as it was agreed with the owners that we will have late check-in) our room apparently has been given to other guests, so had to spend like more than 1 hour to investigate and to disturb the other guests why we do not have as per the reservation the room. The owner specified several times that my reservation was in perfect order, still haven't got the room I reserved. These things are just not to be done, it may ruin your entire holiday and plans.
