Stayed here for two times and everything was fine but the third time I wanted to stay I made the mistake of not reserving it on booking,(although available at 66€ without breakfast and 73€ with breakfast) because I wanted to pay it cash, not having any money left in my account. Arrived there the receptionist asked me for a total of 95€ and when i told him that on booking is cheaper he told me to book it there and then moved to the computer desk behind him, and a minute later my wife came with the phones from the car, showing him the price on Booking, he changed the availability under our eyes and smiled, telling us again to book it wherever we find it. We left, considering he was blackmailing us for the low amount of money, knowing it was night time and cannot find any decent room nearby. It wasn’t the problem of money but the principle. We checked again the availability of the same room 40 minutes later, when, surprisingly The room was available again. This third time it was a very bad experience for us with this very unkind and not professional attitude. We will never...

The heavy double thickness oak doors were certainly a feature, but the room was compact. |Take a look in the old library, beautiful marquetry and wooden fretwork adorn the walls. There are photos of a Papal visit in the corridors too!|There is no restaurant, however a very adequate breakfast is served in the old refectory. A...
Read moreLocation is the main selling point of this hotel. It lies on a riverbank, close to the city centre and all its nice places and tiny winding streets. It is also close to the Raba Quelle aquapark and easily accessible by car and bus.
The staff was super helpful and nice, from the front desk to the maids, they were smiling and helped with anything we needed!
The ambience is also great - it is an old monastery and looks the part!
The room was tiny for a family of four, but manageable. We severely lacked racks to dry our towels on though.
The equipment is a bit worn out and it shows - while the brand new AC worked flawlessly, the shower leaked, toilet bubbled at odd times of night and closing and opening the window was an adventure. Nothing major, but don't expect a shiny new hotel - expect some...
