Hotel Holiday Siofok Hotel — Hotel in Siófoki járás

The main advantage of the hotel is its location. It has direct access to the beach and free for guests. Extra point for the free parking possibility on site.||Rooms were renovated not long before however, problems still occurred. Water appeared suddenly in the bathroom even without using anything there. They knew already about the issue because a mop was placed in the bathroom (and I don't think it's a usual equipment in a hotel room). We made peace with the issue as we know it's a hard to solve one. ||The view was amazing: our room was on the 2nd floor, right in front of the Ferris wheel and the bumper cars. The room was accessible from a side corridor, so we got the noise from the back and the front of the building. Thanks for the air-conditioning we could close all doors and windows, but noise still came in. We heard people shouting and partying on the street and the ones at the beach and the bumper cars as well.||Right on the first day we realized that the lock of the door wasn't working properly. You had to be tricky to open or close the door. In the morning of our first night we spent around 10 minutes to get out of the room due to the lock. We told our issues at the reception, where the personal was very nice and solved the problem right away. They were really helpful and kind throughout our stay.||Breakfast was average but they were paying attention to filling up. In the restaurant you have a discount if you're a hotel guest and they're cooking great. We ate twice there and were satisfied with the dishes and the services.||We spent 3 nights here and wasn't the worst experience I had, but I would not come back. I'm not bothered by noises while sleeping, but this was too much...

Great location right next to the sea for a comparatively reasonable price! However there were also a bunch of (minor) issues that, each by themselves, are no big deal, but added together made a noticeable dent in the experience.

Pros: Location Clean room Friendly staff The AC worked very well and wasn't too loud, so the temperature in the room was always nice

Cons: Apparently there is no soap, which I never experienced in a hotel before. They do provide hygiene supplies in the form of shower gel/shampoo, which can be used as a replacement for soap, sure, but it's still very odd, as it costs basically nothing

The shower sink was clogged and water was filling up inside the shower immediately, almost causing overflow, which was a bit uncomfortable

The fridge was unbearably loud and had to be disconnected during night

The balcony looks very old and the wooden floor of it cheap/already ailing - it's ok and nice to sit outside, but could be renewed

Next to the bed there is only a single power outlet which is used for the bed lamp, so in order to connect your phone you need to disconnect the lamp, that's poor design

Overall, I'd say the pros outweigh the cons and I would come again, but there are lots of small things to improve....

Hotel exceeded our expectations. Modern, clean, air conditioned room that looks recently renovated. The location of the hotel is excellent, right next to the lake and also next to the parties/pubs/bars street. Even though it's right next to a relatively loud and busy area we had no problems at all with noise. The hotel also has access to what feels like a private part of the beach and our terrace had a view on the lake and the Ferris wheel.

Some minor downsides were that the bathroom looks like it wasn't renovated like the rest of the room and felt a bit more old/dirty. It was also pretty tiny but nothing too bad. Receptionists didn't speak English very well, making communication hard sometimes. Breakfast was pretty basic but it got...
