Joy Guesthouse — Hotel in Siófoki járás

I changed four accommodations on my trip around lake Balaton, in October 2021, and I could have chosen a better one. Simply you cannot feel a touch of hospitality, the owners economize on everything - the cheapest materials used everywhere, only one towel per person, no shampoo (luckily we brought our own), no welcome coffee or tea of any kind, free of charge, which is so usual nowadays, the air conditioner's remote control was put away to prevent me from using it, no paper tissues in the kitchen, no additional blankets in autumn unless you ask for them and so on ... Moreover, we were charged more than agreed through Booking.com (genius discount not taken into account), we were not given POS transaction slip but had to take a picture of the one that the receptionist kept for herself, claiming that it is not printed for holders of foreign payment cards. I have never had in my life, including this trip during which I used my VISA card a number of times, where a slip was not printed to me ... I have posted a similar comment on Booking.com via which I made my reservation, and the facility, in response, did not admit they had charged me more than agreed, which was absolutely true. Avoid...

Beds are the quality of a first class (5 stars) hotel. The room we choose is roomy with a big bathroom and good air-conditioned. Mr. Tobi is a kind and intelligent gentleman who gave us the best advices re restaurants, breakfast place etc. . The stuff is kind and helpful very responsive. I needed a hairdresser and in 3 minutes received the phone number of Timea. The rooms and the kitchen are perfect clean. AND the beach is only 3 minutes away. The Guesthouse is located within walking distance from the lake, and surrounded with restaurants. The rooms are super clean, comfortable, and spacious. There is a parking lot in the back yard that has a locked gate, and you receive the key along with the room key. There is common kitchen that you can use with amenities, and a fridge in the room.
