Great food at great prices with great service, what's not to like?

Visited with the wife and 3 kids, 2 of which had the 2 course kids' menu consisting of a broth soup with vermicelli noodles and spaghetti with pomodoro sauce. Both of the boys gave the food 2 thumbs up.

The teenager had one of the two vegan options on the menu, zucchini with a barley-tomato coulis, really tasty with perfectly cooked ingredients.

I had a traditional Hungo summer dish with a non-traditional twist: grilled (cow) cheese salad with yoghurt dressing, and the wife had the house made hummus with dried tomatoes. A loaf of good crusty dark bread tied everything together, along with couple glasses of local rose.

Deserts were also noteworthy, a panacotta with cherry compote and a chocolate mousse with hazelnuts. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, they sent out a complimentary amuse bouche of pimento cream cheese stuffed pogacsa to get us started as soon as we were seated.

The whole shebang for our family of five was a very reasonable 17,500 forint, or a little more that 50 euros, service not included. Portions are generous, we took 2 to-go containers back to our rented villa. Service was, BTW, polite and professional, friendly but not overly so.

Highly recommended for a family dinner in Siofok. Compared to some of the tourist traps that line the petofi setany, it's more than a cut above and worth the additional 3 minutes...

A Balaton nem négyévszakos. Március 15-én 21 fokos szép időben kerestünk egy helyet ebédelni Siófokon, és nincs nyitva semmi egy pár lángosos és gyrosost leszámítva. Véletlenül láttuk meg a Kis Kertet. Már a portálja is hívogató volt, és a belső tere is kellemes otthonos. Az étlap nem nagy de lehet , hogy messze még a szezonkezdet, és így is mindenki megtalálja a fogaravalót. A kiszolgálás gyors, azonnal leültettek, kutyát is behozhattuk. 3-4 féle leves ajánlat, külön szezonális is volt borsokremleves, amit, tekintettel hogy a desszertet is ki alartuk próbálni nem mertünk bevállalni...majd legközelebb. Ízelítőként kis paszternákkrémet kaptunk, kedves gesztus, és nagyon jóízű kis krém volt. Azt hiszem érdemes lesz a heti levest is megkóstolni. A szintén heti ajánlat zúzapörkölt juhtúrós sztrapacskával kiváló választás volt, gyönyörűen elkészített zúza, szinte krémes szafttal, és a jó cuccos juhtúrós köret együtt remek volt. Fledermaus rántva, pankó morzsában, petrezselymes krumplival szintén ajánlott. A hús finom, vajpuha nagyon szuper, hogy egyre több helyen már nem karajból készítik a rántott húst, a bunda is ízes, ropogós. Nehéz a választás desszert fronton is, végül a túrógombóc bazsalikomos eperrel győzött..bazsalikomot nem éreztem benne, de epret annál inkább, intenzív édes eperíz márciusban remek volt. A tejfölhab pedig szuperül feldobta a desszertet. Összefoglalva ha éhesen erre jársz próbáld ki! Ha csak kicsit vagy éhes egyél egy levest, vagy desszertet. Vagy igyál egy kávét, és tuti ki akarsz próbálni valamit. Remek csapat, igazi, jó értelemben vett vendéglátósok dolgoznak itt. Az árak....hát ennyi na, ha étteremben akarsz enni. De nem a lehúzós balatoni...és bőven megéri. Ja és jó időben egy nagy...
