There was a marriage held in the hall above reception (a gallery from here leads to the bed rooms). The staff did not bother to clean the mess or move stuff to one side. Breakfast was disappointing as parantha was burnt and another was ugly/not properly cooked. Idli was average||||Elevator had a weird mechanism where one needs to pull a little rope hanging outside to open the doors.||The reception staff was not well-trained or professional. While waiting for more friends to join us, we saw 2 men presenting there feedback to the owner lady. She was not willing to understand the issues of leakage and mold but kept parroting her point. The hotel is one you could imagine from the 40’s which makes it more enchanting. The bar was fun downstairs too, and all the food in every outlet was impressive. The chef even made us poh ha for breakfast, which entails soaking rice flakes overnight,to make a tasty savoury dish.I don’t think the chef ever sleeps.. he was everywhere that we ate at, overseeing it all.
