Jahangir lodge — Hotel in Agra

I wanted to rate it more because of the hospitality and good behavior we have received from the owner but I'm helpless The lodge is 5-6mints away from Taj Mahal west gate entry, we reached there by walking Location is very good First of all i would like to say about the behaviour, the owner bhaiya is very much responsible and well behaved We have reached the lodge at 3am in the night (our train was super late) , in such an odd time he was there opening the gate for us with a humble behavior and a broad smile on his face We have stayed for some hours only but was very much pleased with his hospitality, helpfulness and behavior Now coming to the other points, room was okayish, they don't have a western toilet, I didn't know that before booking, kind of shocked after seeing that because we (my parents have joint pains, it is very much problematic for them) aren't habituated with indian toilets, blankets they've provided were smelling badly These things they have to change ASAP I would have hit the 5stars for the behaviour of the bhaiya but can't overlook all...

Pros- A small place in a great location. Extremely nice staff and good wifi. Good value for the price. We arrived early and could check-in which was extremely nice.

Cons- The toilet wasn't a western toilet but an Indian one which was difficult for us as tourists. Also, there was no shower or hot water available. The room had the smell of mold and wasn't very clean. Also, the room had a window to the main lobby of the hotel but no curtains. Light entered through the window all night. The room isn't closed off completely (some gaps next to the ceiling) so everything is audible through the tool to the main lobby...

Best price quality balance in Agra! Very close to the Taj, okay rooms (not luxurious but that you can’t expect when it’s this affordable) but most importantly: very friendly and helpful owner. His English is very good, and he is always ready to give a hand (to catch us a cheap tuktuk for example), tips or share...
