Hotel Minerva Grand Vijayawada — Hotel in Andhra Pradesh

Stayed in their chain of hotel in Vijayawada, MG Road and my feedback is:||Checked into this Hotel with family by booking two rooms for four. This property is in downtown of Vijayawada with lot of shopping/ eating options and there is a mall just opposite to the hotel. ||Road leading to hotel is crowded and too much of traffic and there is hardly a place to park vehicle to get down to check in. Having said Check-in and Check-out is quick & smooth and front office is helpful and efficient. ||Requested twin beds and they have considered and provided; Thank you. We drove down to hotel in chauffer driven car and there is no provision for driver rest room. As such we were informed that this facility is available when called two days before check in.||Room service slow to respond and hotel must improve quality bed linen and towels. Toilet flushing in both the rooms needs to be addressed. No complimentary packaged water bottles are provided in the rooms. ||Hotel has a fine dining restaurant, Blue fox, where alcoholic beverages. This restaurant is smelly as floor has a carpet. My request is to replace carpet with easily cleanable impervious tiles. There is no way to clean soiled carpet due to food spillages. ||There is a pure veg restaurant Minerva Coffee shop and food is delicious. Same as any Minerva Coffee shop in Hyderabad. I had been here on 26th April to book a banquet for my dad's retirement dinner (expecting 60 ppl).

After having a look at the banquet, finalizing menu and they had quoted me a price. I had asked them if it is final and their response was " we don't give hall for 60 ppl, as this is useason and we don't have any booking we are giving you this hall". Did not feel good and left the place.

Again in the evening i had called them and checked if banquet manager (Ravindra) was available and then thought to go and meet him assuming he would be much sensible than the person who spoke in the morning.

Ravindra had equally disappointed us. As we went and met him, he was even least bothered to just raise from the chair and ask us to sit. And when I wanted to show banquet to the person who accompanied me then, a lady was about to come and how the banquet. then manager Ravindra said to the lady " you have lot of work here and you are going". They behaved as if they are giving the hall free for us or they are least interested to take the booking as it was just for 60 ppl in their view.

We did not want the occasion to get spoiled and came back and looked for...

I opted for this hotel for a night stay after reading good reviews. But the experience would have been better.

I was provided a room on 2nd floor with road/mall view. The rooms are spacious. Good lighting and clean. Equipped with TV, mini refrigerator and hair dryer. The Bathroom looked great but was non functional. The flush did not work and wash basin was leaking water. Maintenance person informed me the job would take more than a day to fix. Not sure why they provided the non operational room to guests knowing it has issues.

I requested a change of room. I was given a room on 4th floor. The room was spacious, clean and has working bathroom. The bed was comfortable. The ac was apt.

I had dinner in the ground floor resturant. The service is pathetic. Food is not that great.Lot of eating places near by.

The hotel is inside the city, infront of a mall. Roads leading to hotel is crowded. It has basement parking and a resturant at the ground floor. Complimentary breakfast start at 7:30 AM.
