Apologies for a long review but I believe this needs to be brought to attention.
I was here with my family a week ago. We arrived here around 1:30 pm and had two rooms booked. There was no greeting or pleasantries from the lady at the reception. She asked for our identification and the very first question she asked us was when we were planning to check out. That seemed extremely off and unwelcoming. Moving on, she took our details and started the check-in process. We waited at the reception with no update from her for about 20 min. She had disappeared into the back by this time. When she finally walked back out, we asked how long it would take and she said the rooms were being cleaned. I do not understand how the rooms were still not cleaned by 1:30 pm when the check-out time is at 12:00. Especially so when the first question we were asked was about our check-out time the following day. After hearing that, we were slightly irritated and asked if we can go ahead and have lunch until the rooms were being cleaned. I do not work in the service industry, but in my naive opinion, it should have been common sense to be straightforward with us about the delay and she herself should have pointed us to the restaurant and told us to relax there. Instead, her demeanour was entirely unapologetic and almost as if it was our fault that we arrived at the time we did. The entire first interaction was unpleasant and brought down our spirits. On top of this, when we finally got to our rooms, one of the rooms smelled overwhelmingly of cigarette smoke and the bathroom in the other one was clearly not cleaned and had a strong ammonia and urine like smell. By this point we were extremely disappointed, tired from our journey, and simply did not want to interact with the person at the reception anymore. Moreover we were only going to stay there for one night so we decided to just make do. But in the future, I'd rather sleep in a car than stay in one of the rooms in this hotel.
I do however want to acknowledge that the staff in both the restaurants were extremely well trained and welcoming. We had lunch at the restaurant downstairs. The food arrived quickly, was hot and flavoured well. We had dinner at the restaurants upstairs. The food was really great there as well. Do know that there is music at the restaurant upstairs and it can get loud. But the vibe is very enjoyable. And the only piece in the puzzle that fetched the two stars in this review was the complimentary breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. There was an incredibly large spread, everything was kept hot and every single dish I tried was impeccably made. The servers were attentive and very nice to interact with. That breakfast is the only saving grace in this otherwise disappointing hotel.
In my opinion, this hotel probably used to be well maintained, but the flyover that has been constructed right next to it caused the condition it is in now. Do know that despite being so close to traffic, the rooms are well sound proofed and you do not hear any noises inside. But, it is in dire need of an upgrade and the reception staff, at least some of them, need extensive training. It is certainly not up to Radisson standards. And it most certainly is not value for the amount of money you pay.
The location and food is great but everything else leaves something to be desired. I usually do not write reviews this long and sharp but my experience left me with a bitter taste and I hope this brings the management's attention for the betterment...
Read moreIf there would have been 0 star , I would have preferred to give 0. For a brand hotel chain, this hotel is pathetic.. I travel a lot and trust me a 3 star hotel would serve better than them. I booked this hotel fohin that its a 5* hotel so they will not have any inconvenience, but to my surprise I was so wrong. Please do not go on just the positive reviews, thats just an illusion.
Staff: really untrained, unprofessional staff. They say that they are 24*7 available, but trust me, to get their availability is as difficult getting availability of some minister. Specially their “Reservation” department. They wont acknowledge any of your request which is bizarre. I had to book and pay for an “extra day” as my parents’ flight arrival was early in the morning and they simply refused for an early check-in. I was asking for the payment at checkin( booked via pay at hotel) but unethically, they were asking me to handover my card to them and that they would return after deduction while I check-out. I literally had to ask them why? How can they ask to keep the card, so unethical.
Rooms : The rooms are very small comparative to what you pay. City view rooms are literally of "better to not have view" rooms. Ofcourse you dont want to wake up to a city view with road side constructions, buses, trucks. My parents are senior citizens and they got issues with the bed, So, I requested them a bit hard bedding or shift it to different room, for which they bluntly denied. So irresponsive, unethical, insensitive, and unprofessional/untrained hospitality.
Service : Room service isn't good either. They don't change the laundry daily. They would wrap the same towels that you have thrown wet on the floor ( no laundry bag either).
Food : They have only focused on "quantity" of food. Yes, buffet has too many options to try from. But trust me, the taste wise its not at all upto the mark. have had they keep the less options/choices but improved taste, this would have been better.
Location : Not at all convenient location, as per what they claim or you check on google. No public transport nearby and even cabs would deny coming or going via this location. Had a trouble looking for transport.
Other Amenities : Their Gym, Swimming pool and other recreational area, Spa, all are closed and under construction, which they have not mentioned anywhere. And ofcourse while going to a hotel, I expect these facilities as the cost included these facilities too.
Value for money : Absolutely no value for money. I have to continue my stay( Yes, I am writing this while staying in the hotel), because of the HEFTY money I have paid for no good reason. I am really regretting booking this hotel for such high cost. I have been into Radisson Delhi NCR, and they have such a high benchmark set. But this hotel is totally a Ruin to...
Read moreThe bathrooms were dirty. There are stains on every faucet and handle. The flush button is so hard to push. Really difficult for senior citizens and people with other difficulties. We requested a change of rooms seeing the condition of the bathroom but the second room was also bad. The service is poor. The managers are straight up rude. We'd called the hotel 2 days earlier to confirm if there would be rooms for early check-in. They informed us there would be. But when we reached the hotel on the day, the manager at the reception just dismissed what we were saying and told us that no room was available. He denied that anyone told us this as if we were the ones lying. There was no tact in the response that we've come to expect with hotels with Radisson in the name. The rooms smell and are dirty. The first room we were allocated was extremely dusty and smelled bad. It seemed as if that room had not been maintained for years and nobody had stayed in it for a while. Not surprising, considering the service and quality of rooms. The AC didn't work for half a day. The AC in our room was broken due to some issue. We weren't informed that it was broken and we followed up twice with the reception to no avail. They fixed it the next morning. The in-room dining is bad. The quality of coffee provided was horrible. We'd ordered out one day and we'd asked for cutlery which they didn't provide at all. There were few other instances where housekeeping is just not responsive at all. The restaurant's cutlery is stained and dirty. All the plates were stained and the spoons/knives provided were so dirty. You cannot eat with that cutlery. The table was so dirty, and they were telling us it was clean. The chairs were...
