Phoenix Residency — Hotel in Bengaluru

I recently had the misfortune of encountering Itsy By Treebo - Phoenix Residency in Electronic City, Bengaluru, and it was an experience I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Here are the details of my nightmarish visit:

Firstly, the location on Hosur Road ensures that this hotel is one of the noisiest places you could possibly choose. The constant cacophony from the traffic made it impossible to get any rest. The cramped conditions of the hotel only added to the discomfort. The elevator is tiny, and the reception area is even smaller, barely able to accommodate more than a couple of people at a time.

Families should steer clear of this establishment, as it is clearly not designed with them in mind. The clientele mostly consisted of single men who seemed to be there for unsavory purposes, contributing to an overall atmosphere of sleaziness and discomfort.

The state of the rooms was appalling. They were filthy beyond belief, with bedsheets that were even dirtier than the rooms themselves. The bathrooms were so disgusting that you could smell the stench from the hallway. Even after requesting new sheets, what was provided was still subpar. To top it off, the walls behind the bed were cracked, adding to the sense of neglect and decay.

The staff at this hotel are either poorly trained or simply do not care about the condition of the place. They were unhelpful and seemed indifferent to the many issues we raised. Adding to the danger, there was a burnt-out circuit board next to the elevator, making the hotel a significant fire hazard.

Parking is another major issue. The hotel does not provide any parking facilities. Instead, guests are expected to park on an unpaved street, which is far from ideal and adds to the overall feeling of insecurity and inconvenience.

I am baffled as to how Treebo could have certified such a derelict and filthy hotel. It makes one wonder if Treebo was somehow paid off to pass this hotel. Thankfully, we decided not to stay and made a quick exit. Fortunately, we had not paid in advance.
