We had a horrible experience when we went for lunch. Both the quality of food and the service was not upto the mark. We ordered the food and it was served after 45 minutes of long wait and it was awful. We asked them to serve extra sauce but it was served only after repeated reminders and by then we were almost done.
In bill we noticed that mineral water has been charged at Rs.50 per bottle and when I objected by saying that as per government rules, it can't be charged more than MRP, the person at reception asked me to file a case if I wish to do the same.
I gave my credit card to pay the lunch bill, the person at reception swiped it once and then told me that they have only 1 connection and the network is slow so I need to pay cash. When I said that ideally in a big hotel like this there's should be an alternate connection, I was told that this is how it is.
We will never ever visit this hotel and strongly suggest others not to visit this...

When I approached this hotel earlier through call, Mr.Birendra Singh was very welcoming and offered best deal for the room. One I entered the hotel premises it was just like heaven. Super clean and vast property. Chechen was done in a jiffy and I went to the room and to my surprise the detail to attention caught my eye. Wel decorated and vast room with some welcome backs and dry fruits was a compliment. Bed was comfortable and clean. A working desk was very useful too. Best part was the bathroom which had all amenities and a fantastic tub which is missing in today’s modern hotels too. I was just taken back to my childhood when I used to love the time in the tub. Restaurant food was very good and quantity is a lot for one person to finish.||Ambience-5|Location-5|Cleanliness...
Read moreThe hotel presents as a spacious, colonnial style residency. Unfortunately it no longer succeeds with this image and seems to have become the choice for one night stays for mid sized tour groups. Maintenance could be better and hidden corners could be cleaner.||||Breakfast, included in our rate, was excellent, except for the instant coffee which is surprisingly ubiquitous in India. The large, rather dull restaurant was not conducive to 'eating in' for dinner.||||It's a long walk on precarious sidewalks to town and to Maha Bodhi and nowadays there may be better choices closer to the centre.||||The hotel arranged an airport pickup which is recommended. They also arranged a 'premium car & driver' to take us to Varansi which didn't work out so well. For the price we paid, the car was older than anticipated (170,000km ) and the young driver was not appropriately trained to handle paying customers on chaotic road...
