Lotus Restaurant — Restaurant in Bodhgaya

It was our spiritual expedition day and after visiting few of the incredible Buddhist shrines, we were famished and landed at the Lotus Restaurant. Without much ado, we ordered for Veg Thali and two Garlic Butter Naans. The fresh thali got served within ten minutes and it had two rotis, lots of rice of reasonable quality, daal, paneer sabzi, aloo sabzi, papad, salad and pickle.

The food was fresh, delicious and sumptuous. The seating was fine and the inside was well-lit. They do not have a restroom, but the public toilet is around two hundred meters away and the wash basin is just outside. The crowd was primarily of monks and some other travellers like us.

The charges were reasonable and we paid via online mode. We had a delicious and entertaining time as some dubbed movie was telecasted on the television...

Taste of all three items are awesome. Super delicious and fresh and feel very authentic. They serve both Tibetan and Indian food. The portion size will impress any one. Really nice, healthy homemade food here. The place has a simple no frills but calm atmosphere. Soups and dumplings are some of the best Tibetan food I’ve had. It’s off the beaten track and well worth a visit. I came here twice. Amazing prices, amongst the best value I’ve ever had....
