We were very impressed by the pictures online and the location is great too. When we had booked the place we were told that we would be given the upper floor but just a few days before the booking we were told that those rooms have been given to someone else and we will get a bedroom and a living area on the ground floor. Thankfully the living area was a private space and not a common area. ||The ground floor bedroom has mould infested walls. Food is very average.||When we reached the place the caretaker lady was very courteous & the 2 helpers were also very polite as long as she was around. Next day around 12 pm when I had asked the helper lady if lunch could be made for 1 person she replied very rudely that how can lunch be made at this time. Although it was just 12 noon and it was just for 1 person but she refused rudely. On the contrary when we had visited a remote village in Kazakhstan the caretaker lady in the village homestay made us a quick dinner so that we don't go hungry although she had no prior intimation and resources are scarce there. This is what is expected out of a person from the hospitality sector| ||The bathroom was being used by 4 people but no-one cleaned it, no one cleaned the room or made the bed. ||Bathroom had no water on the 2nd day because the helper had not switched on the motor. When we came back after a long day we had to wait for water in the bathroom while the 2 helpers were too eager to leave. ||Please train your staff if you want to be in the hospitality sector else don't run it like a homestay. ||Not recommending this...
Read moreI travelled to Parul for a weekend with my family and it was one of the best times we had. We can’t wait to go back for longer stay. The food was excellent and the warmth of the hosts were outstanding. The house is very well maintained, is airy, and peaceful. It has a beautiful garden and is surrounded by trees. It felt like visiting a relative’s home who is eager to feed you the simplest and best kind of hearty meals! Amazing tea, coffee services which are by the way on the house! We had absolutely great time and hope to come back soon. If you are someone who loves to party, make noise, shoot videos, and disturb the sanctity of a place, this is...
Read moreI had visited Parul homestay for my first time trip to Shantiniketan. The homestay is not very far from the station. Takes 20 minutes or less if you take a moto ride. The entire homestay was a lovely place, with a garden view. It was serene and peaceful. The rooms were very tidy and spacious. They had two bathrooms on each floors which are also well maintained and spacious. The owner of the homestay was a genuine lady and the caretakers were also lovely. They were amazing people who will provide service out of their way. Lunch and dinner provided from the homestay...
