Wonder how this hotel has got star hotel certification..My Stay at hotel icon was a nightmare.|I checked in at night at around 10.00 pm.my stay was for 9 days..|The front desk staff appeared rude and unprofessional..there was a pwer failure at night.A star hotel does always have a power back up system. Outside temparature was almost 40 degree.. Due to power failure of half an hour, dont know how did we survive🙄||2) Shower was not in a usable condition and tap was not working.. When i registered complained regarding the issue, people started visiting t my room every five minutes| which made my stay uncomfortable||3) though our room was double bed occupancy, daily essentiials like tooth brush, bath soap, shower cap were provided for one person only on demand.||4( first two three days, the breakfast buffe was working okayish quality ( but not ay all great),|As i had to leave hotel room, by 8.30 for my wprk, i went to have breakfast at 8 in the morning , i was served with uncooked idli at 8.30 after a long argument.||5) room was unhygienic.. Sofa and chair cushoins were so dirty .. A. C was NOT working, so had to stay without A. C . one full night at hot weather.||6) we had to invest double time to get the nornal things done.. For eg.. When i used room service facility, one item brought first and the second item later once you remind them.||7) i was offered with room change option, but denied because there was no guarantee that i can stay peacefully without any complaints in the new room.||8) A wardrobe should have two doors.|Icon hote, chandigarh, sector 8 c wardrobe is having only one sliding door., so that the other half is always open.||In general, i had to work as a care taker of that room and get the things done for my stay|| I would like to request icon hotel management that treat guest sincerely, and |respect customers...

From the moment we arrived, it was evident that the service standards were lacking. The staff at reception, particularly the lady who checked us in, appeared inexperienced and did not extend even basic hospitality such as offering a glass of water while we waited.
The room, booked for two guests, was equipped with amenities meant for just one—there was only a single set of toiletries, and the shower gel bottle was completely empty. The bathroom hygiene was extremely poor, with visible drainage issues causing water to clog in the sink. One evening, to our dismay, there was no running water in the taps at all.
Each morning, we were disturbed by the loud noise of heavy machinery moving directly above our room. When brought to the attention of the reception, we were told it was due to another guest, which seemed unlikely and quite unconvincing.
Room service and housekeeping were equally disappointing. Despite staying multiple nights, our room was not cleaned unless we specifically activated the "clean my room" switch—however, all lights, including this function, were deactivated when we left the room, making the system ineffective. Even after repeated requests, basic items like water bottles and coffee sachets were not replenished.

Did not stay in Hotel Room, but had booked their banquet for family function of 100 people in January 2021, and the experience was bad. The facilities as advertised did not show up. Initially, before the beginning of event at 8 PM, the hotel got a defect in electricity supply and then their generator wasn't even working. After nearly 45 minutes, the power supply was somehow managed by them. The Food quality as told by their Staff, especially Manager Mr Manoj, was disgusting. The LCD screen at the entrance of hall wasn't working, the hand sanitizer setups weren't working (Whichis an important Thing at the Time of Covid-19). Even my Mobile phone charger was lost here during the event of 4 hours. Waiters did not served adequate snacks and welcome drinks quickly to guests.
Good - Bartender and his service, Venue. Bad - Indian Food, Management, Managers (Careless Attitude), DJ sound not at par (Just Ok).
I told them about the issues I faced during the event, but they never listened to my grievance, and haven't taken any action.
