I was so dissatisfied with this hotel I left after seeing the room and the room service. |Things didn’t start well when our airport transportation didn’t turn up and after calling the hotel was recommended a prepaid taxi which was cheaper than their transfer price(400 rupees) . I wish they’d recommended that in the first place. the taxi was fine but wasn’t able to first find the hotel and had to keep using my phone to call them and then had to leave us on a main road because he couldn’t get down the creepy side street they were on. |When we walked in (as two female travellers) we both immediately felt uncomfortable. There were a lot of men hanging around in the lobby and they were all staring uncomfortably. The porter and services that came to our room also lingered for way too long to be comfortable. The room itself was dirty with stained sheets and a pitiful duvet. It also looked out onto the alley and into someone else’s house. |After ordering some food to try and figure out what to do we decided it was all too much. The food was disgusting and very overly salted. The condiment bottles were covered in dirt at the top and we did not trust the food. |There was also people lingering in the corridors and even sleeping in the staircase outside our room. We did not feel safe and were not sure about leaving any valuables in the room while we were out. We decided to leave and try and find another hotel somewhere else but had to pay the first...
Read moreWe had welcoming staff. I was writting with employee few months before we arrived to Dilí. I wrote with hotel about early check in and arrange taxi on the airport when we arrive. This hotel was very helpful. I would like to write very thank you for this hotel, because flight company Emirates lost me luggage in Dubai and hotel called with employee airport about my lost luggage when I need again and again (every hours, because airport did not communicate and I did not have any information where is my luggage. I spended only 1 night with my friends in this hotel and I needed find my luggage very early). Hotel was perfect with everything we asked. Ordered taxi and sended out postcards when we needed. I wanted two rooms next door and I had it. Rooms was big, include bathroom. We had big beds. Street was quiet and safety. Opposite is store with food, drinks and lot of things. Hotel is very near train station (you do not have a taxi). There are lot of restaurant with good food. Hotel is situated in small street and taxi bring you before this street (is it near and you need not...
Read moreIf you are a female travelling it is a very intimidating environment. As you enter the lobby of the hotel, down a narrow busy side street that cars cannot reach, you are met by many men (presumably employees) just hanging around the lobby and who stare a lot. We were taken up to our room by two men who lingered in our room and would not leave straight away. There were also groups of men standing and sitting in the stair wells. The first thing you notice are the dirty “white” bed sheets with many stains. We gave it a go and ordered some room service just basic veg chow mein, fries and veg pakora. The man who brought it also stared at us a lot and lingered in our room. The food was extremely salty, inedible for the fries and pakora. However the chow mein was hot and tasted fine. We decided we felt too uncomfortable to remain and used the free WiFi to find another hotel nearby which we felt far more comfortable in and moved straight away. We had to pay for the night we didn’t want at hotel...
