Hotel Horizon By Shanti — Hotel in Delhi

If I could give this zero stars, I would.

If you do not read anything else in this review, just read this and hopefully it is enough for you to make an informed choice-- this hotel has an infestation of some type of bug on their beds. If you are ok with that, go ahead and book this place.

Here are the issues we encountered during our stay. We stayed for about a week.

Incessant construction noise-- we had to constantly tell them to stop the noise. They were doing some construction in their own property and would start it in the morning. Idk about anyone else, but we wanted to go to the hotel to relax from the chaos of Delhi, if we wanted to sleep at a construction site, we obviously would not have stayed at a hotel.

Weird bathroom layout-- even though the bathroom looks like the photographs shown, there is no proper divider between the area where one can shower and the vanity. As a result, every time we showered, the entire bathroom became disgustingly wet.

Stingy with supplies-- the toilet paper did not even seem like one ply toilet paper. It was probably the cheapest and definitely can cause chafing. We also had to ask for fresh towels every day, idk why room service did not just replace them.

Hygiene issues-- every towel, sheet, and linen in the rooms had some sort of stain. There was a cigarette butt outside one of the rooms we booked. Every time we would walk barefoot in the rooms, we would feel as if our feet have been plagued with dust as if we have done the same outside our hotel on the road instead. I think the cleaning staff smoked while "cleaning" as the room smelled like cigarettes after they left.

BUG INFESTATION !!!!-- Even if the above were to be ignored, this hotel has bugs on their sheets. I noticed one initially and killed it, upon further inspection I saw 6 more of the same type on the bed. They tried to show us other rooms but every room...

Stayed in room 303 for 5 days. Each day has an issue. First two days the bathroom light which was supposed to switch off automatically by sensor was not functioning. Ask to check, took them 2 days to rectify it. ( i cant sleep with bright lights on)

Each day towels are not refreshen. Imagine coming back from a tiring day exhausted to find there isnt towels in the room . This continues for all days stayed. We have to ask for it each time we got back.

Room was not cleaned on day 5 despite informing the frontdesk to make my room but the picture shows my room was left how it was in morning.

I have no complaints on the bed , pillows, all good but the housekeeping is out! Amenities was not replenished. Small² things like this plays a role in your service level to your customers.

Aircond main switch always tripped when we back and need to call them to on for us. I mean, come on things like this irritates us when we back from long day.

Staff are also quite rude when we complaint to them otherwise they are nice.

Overall they have to improve on their service level and housekeeping. For that, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel and will not revisit in future.

Do take note as well the neighbouring section on this building undergoing renovations thus it can be noisy during the day.

Very new. Rooms are reasonably comfortable. No windows which makes you feel very enclosed. We had some issues with electricals in our room regarding bathroom motion sensor lights and fan that never turned off (no manual switches). While we stayed (end of July), there was still no restaurant which was inconvenient. It must be said they do provide room service. But we were a family booking two rooms. We did try to eat breakfast in the lobby, on couches and coffee tables. Not a good experience, both in comfort and quality of food. Luckily there's some good restaurants close by. The staff were pleasant and tried their best to fix our issues. Apart from manager, the rest of the staff are a little under trained. I'd expect better...
