READ THE 5* REVIEWS CAREFULLY - some are fraudulently submitted by the hotel. They stole my details and did this to me on Booking com. The 5* reviews on Google are also incredibly similar.

The hotel is awful. Air con broken, no hot water, staff trying to enter rooms unexpectedly, dirty sheets, smells of cigarette smoke.

The hotel submitted a false review under my Booking com account by stealing my booking confirmation details at check in. The hotel is being investigated for this by the platform. AVOID. When we checked in, the hotel asked to see my Booking confirmation number. This was our first hotel in India so we thought it was normal. Please read the 9* and 10* reviews on Booking com and Google and note the similarities. I believe this isn’t the first time they’ve done this. We were shown to a room. Firstly, it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. There were hairs on the bed, the bathroom smelled bad, and the room was overall very tired. The photos on the Booking platform are highly edited and brightened. We requested another room. To be fair to them, they showed us 2 other rooms. We picked the best of a bad bunch. The room didn’t smell and sheets slightly cleaner. Since we had just arrived in India from abroad, paid in cash upon arrival, and were unfamiliar with the city, we decided to stay.

Facilities There was no hot water in the bathroom The air con could only be turned on / off - it was too cold with it on, too hot with it off The shower handle came off - it had been attached with foil

Location At the time of our stay (October 2024) the metro station nearby was closed for rebuilding. This meant it wasn’t easy to get around. Moreover, due to road closures for the construction work, Ubers & tuk tuks were difficult to get near the hotel or to be dropped off at the hotel. The traffic in the area was horrendous.

Staff The hotel is writing fraudulent reviews on a Booking using booking confirmation numbers and booking PINs taken from guests. One of the staff members made us feel uncomfortable by always trying to enter the room when dropping water bottles off. We used the deadlocks when we were in the room.

Value for money It was cheap but you get what you paid for.

Two weeks after we left Delhi, I received an email from the Booking platform thanking me for my review. I did not leave a review so was shocked to see one left under my account. Avoid “Hotel Le Grand - Walk-in from RK Ashram Metro Station” (their name on Booking com). If you stay there, do NOT share your booking details with them if they ask for it. These details can be used to leave reviews without logging into the Booking account. I had to contact the Booking platform to have a review removed, which was submitted under my account without my knowledge.||||When we checked in, the hotel asked to see my Booking confirmation number. Hotel Le Grand situated in little lanes is a 3rd class hotel Phones within room are either without cord or with some disturbance make my hard to listen Food not good as well.out of many dishes only dal, sandwiches, tea, omlette and half fried eggs were eatable Room was cleaned but still had cockroaches which crop up and hide in b/w wooden furnishing they had Laundary is fine but they replace the clothes even undergarments so make sure you click photo before giving laundry Last but not the least there is constant banging noise which is made outside room and can be heard from within room If you stay for more than a day then make sure you call them for room cleaning as they only clean at checkout and not Daily l As their food is not upto Grade therefore food from Swiggy/Zomato was allowed Make sure you take proper bill as they would convince you not take due GST but this way they save sales or service tax which is applicable to hotels which...
