I spent two weeks here. I was happy with the service. All the employees that I met were very kind and helpful. Make sure you have the hotel coordinate your ride from the airport. There's an insane amount of taxis scamming people. The process of finding the driver was simple. Also, the hotel staff had someone available to set me up with a mobile sim card. They completeled application and I had my phone turned on same day for about 350 rps which included lots of data. They made the process easy. The area is decent. There's a lot going on. The hotel staff advised me on how to identify a scammers in the street and how to respond. There's a lot within walking distance, including atms, pharmacies ("chemists"), vendors, metro (train), restaurants. I never felt unsafe, other than getting used to walking in so much traffic. I also didn't stay out too late, so I don't know how it was after 11pm. It sounded much quieter. The staff speaks English, as do many people in this area. They also serve food on the rooftop ornyou can order and have it delivered to your room. I should mention that somewhere online I read that this was a 4 star hotel. If that matters to you, you may be disappointed. In American standards, I think this was more like a 2/3 star. I would stay here again though. The staff was kind and held my luggage for me after I checked out so that I could spend my day exploring before my flight at midnight.
Watch out for anyone in the street who approaches you in a cheery mood speaking English (or your language) and continues talking to you and following you. They're scammers. Don't let them convince you to bring you anywhere. Search Google for Delhi scams...
Read moreThe location is good, close to Metro station. By Metro, it is very easy to visit all the main attractions - Red Fort, Jain Temple, Jama Masjid, Humayun's tomb, Purana Qila, Zoo, Qutub Minar, Lotus temple.||The room was clean and had sufficient hot water.||The hotel has an elevator which is very helpful.||The hotel staff was kind and hospitable. They also alerted us to potential scammers and pickpockets round the city.||We were on second floor and the room had sufficient quiet for us, but we may suggest to other travelers to book rooms on higher floors if the require complete silence from the street noise.||Overall we can recommend this hotel to other travelers.||Taxi can not enter the street of the hotel, but it leaves you on the next corner, approximately 20 meters from the hotel which is not really far.||||· There were some flies coming from outside.||Wifi is present but is not working continuously (sometimes working, sometimes not). However, this was not the main thing for us since we were mostly outside.||The food in the hotel is good if you are hungry, but if you want excellent food, we suggest restaurants in the city center (we found Pind Balluchi and Punjabu grill restaurants with...
Read moreIf you do stay here, get a room as high up as possible! The rooms on level 1 are old and dirty - I was told by another guest this is because often the hotel staff use them to sleep in!||||I know there is only so much you can expect for the price you pay, and I didn't mind that the room was old but it was dirty. The sheets were stained, the towels were grey, and the floor had not been cleaned properly. ||||I asked to be changed to another room the next day, which was on the second floor, and was much cleaner but the hot water in the shower didn't work properly.||||The staff at the front desk weren't rude but I wouldn't call them friendly either. The message they sent me when I asked about airport pick-up was scare-mongering and frankly a rip-off. They charged 1000 rupees and the vehicle which picked me up was old and shabby. I only used the service because I was a sole female traveler and I landed late at night, would recommend you look at other options though if feasible for you. ||||Location is fairly convenient and...
