Hotel Palm D'or — Hotel in Delhi

I stopped for 3 nights in this dump back in 2018. Ive only just found it on google maps. It was a nightmare from the moment the shifty taxi driver picked me up rom the airport. Wanting to know what I was doing and putting me through a constant sales pitch for the entire 40min ride in some clapped out minivan.

On arrival i had to walk through a metal detector archway and was escorted up to my room by another couple of shifty doorman types.

The room was disgusting. Damp and mould everywhere. Poor locks on the doors. I resorted to padlocking my suitcase to the heaviest furniture item and carrying valuables with me. I didn't use the shower or bath as it was utterly grim. The bed was stained and dirty. Walls dirty and marked up. The windows didn't keep the noise out either.

There was also a really creepy shifty "travel agent" in the reception area who constantly tried to tell me that the trains were cancelled and i should book a £200 taxi with him. Needless to say. I didn't.

First time I've truly felt unsafe as a lone traveller. In didn't venture out after my days escorted activities.

After 3 days I was glad to be escorted 150mtrs to the train station and relative safety.

Awesome hotel at an affordable price range I would suggest everyone to go for this hotel without even thinking twice It has a very good location very close to New Delhi railway station and New Delhi Metro station. The station is visible from the rooftop restaurant of this hotel

They gave me a free of cost Early Check-in because the room was vacant

The room is so nice, so neet and clean. I totally loved the room.

The bathroom is also very clean. I m a very hygiene freak person and i loved the cleanliness of the room and the bathroom.

They clean the room and bathroom every day. Their room service is excellent. I left my MacBook on bed and went out but they kept it properly while cleaning the room and also informed me regarding the same when i came back

They also kept my luggage for 3-4 hours after I checked out bcz my train was late. The only problem is the price rate of the in house restaurant i found it really very costly but you can find many cheaper restaurants nearby this hotel So go for this hotel without giving a...

Pathetic staff, less then one star from us,felt cheated irrespective of reading reviews, lizard in room, blood stains like a cheap hotel, bathroom alwz leaking,no doormat atall, cuilt(razai) without cover with lots of stain. No courtesy only there to take money n fool people, we stayed there for 2 night as we already paid in advance, we have receipt for the same, but just cz they knew that we would give bad review they cancelled our booking after we checked out, this shows how they cheat people, we trust booking.com so we booked thru you, please take such cheap hotels out from ur list n ask hotel owners to put real pictures please. It was disgusting we are litrary cheated with everything n in name of buffet they offer food in less then 200 sq.ft area with people waiting n no hot water to which they reply it is standered room, for lizard they commented it won't bite, n wen it's ur time u die, they changed our room thrice as a favor not as responsibility.
