We visited the outlet near Panjim market. We ordered Adrak chai, choco chai, mini chicken samosas and spicy chicken burger. While awaiting our order, we noticed a poster by the main door that the adrak chai and samosas were available as a combo. Asked the cashier if she'd applied that combo and she said no, we had to specifically 'ask' for that combo. What's the difference? If we'd asked for the combo, the two would come stuck together? She didn't even tell us that a combo was available when we asked for those items. How would we look at that poster while entering for the first time, when the full menu was right behind the counter?
So the way I look at it, if I went to an apparel store and picked up 2 shirts from a 1+1 free offer, I'd have to ask the cashier at the counter to apply that offer, or they'd charge me for both, if i don't see the offer mentioned.
Funny, isn't it?
Then the spicy chicken burger. Wasn't spicy at all. It had just the bread, patty and some mayo. Wouldn't hurt to add a slice of tomato/onion/lettuce and charge Rs. 5/- more if you can't accommodate it in the current price. It tasted great though. Same with the samosas, too small but tasted good and that's the only reason I'm rating this review as 2. It would be nice if you'll kept tissues ready at each table.
It's not a matter of the 6 bucks that I'd have saved on the combo, just that if you really care about good service, these small...
Read moreThe hotel is located offside a main road nicely quiet and outside but very close by car to the city of dona paula. Also few minutes away by feet from beach. Therefore good location if you have a car. If not, no problem, if requested you will get driven to a rental place where you can rent a car/scooter for few money. Or you can just call yourself taxis. They will also drive you around for things like sightseeing (took first option). The rooms are small but comfy, have TV, AC and water boiler for coffee. Cleaned daily. Bathrooms nice, only lack bathtub. Pool and beautiful backyard. They also have a small gym and a room where you can play table tennis, kicker, etc. Service is very good. Everything requested will be brought to your room. Breakfast served in "restaurand room" and also outside beside the pool. Good variety of lunch and dinner available. Staff is very kind and helping if you just ask nicely. They will provide you with information about places worth a visit and about anything else you want to know or need. Only slightly negative things are that breakfast is not that continental everyday and sometimes there was no hot water for shower but thats a rather small problem if you consider the temperatures there. At the end of the day you will definitely get at least if not more what you paid for! Would definitely...
Read moreWe stayed at this property (not sure even if they really qualify for hotel) for attending a marriage function. Pretty much disappointed with the services here. Rooms: AC doesn’t function properly and they don’t even care to check and service them. Smelly Pillows and even though you ask them to replace , it takes ages for the reception and housekeeping to understand.
Location: Pretty remote in the Vainguinim Beach Valley. Please book yourself a scooter or rented car. Their travel helpdesk is not really a helpdesk. They will charge you 500rs even for a 2km ride (one way).
A big NO for the location !
Service: The receptionist and the housekeeping are in their own world. Always talking on phone and barely pay attention to your requests.
Only the people working in the restaurant pay attention to your needs and server you properly if you order fresh cooked food. Complimentary food is partially good. They seem to be forced to cook at morning !
Overall if possible try to avoid this property. In same price you will find much better places around Dona Paula and...
