Other than the views provided by the sea facing rooms, nothing in this hotel impressed me. It's a business hotel so if on a vacation with your significant other better to opt for Taj heritage. The rooms are a bit on the smaller size which enter directly into the washroom and bathtub.|I didn't feel like I was staying in a Taj property the service was definitely not welcoming or warm. It's definitely not a hotel i would revisit nor would I suggest to anyone.|Me and my husband were on our honeymoon and inspite of asking, calling/ emailing the hotel multiple times to connect with a leisure concierge, we received no response. The people are either off duty on a lunch break or the calls just go unanswered.|The check in process was okay, but on reaching our room the mini bar was found to be locked. This was pretty funny to experience and even after numerous calls to the inept receptionists no one was sent to assist us. After 45 minutes and after confirming that we weren't from a IT crowd party they finally sent someone to unlock our minibar.|Any request for housekeeping, getting our car to the front, helping us shift our room was all answered excruciating slowly and after a minimum of 3 calls to the front desk.|Don't expect the hotel to have any entertainment, sundowners, activities. I guess heritage would be a better option for that.|The hotel may boast of 200+ rooms but they arent equiped to handle even 40% occupancy. We waited 1 hour outside the restaurant for our breakfast buffet, and were called based on a list with our room numbers. It felt like I was at a fast food restaurant waiting for my turn to have a few bites. The service at the buffet was terrible. Most of our table orders didn't reach us or was delivered very late, it took 20 minutes for having my tea delivered. They preferred waiting on tables having families rather than younger couples.|We only received a late checkout at the last minute after multiple requests. On checkout when asked, we explained how inadequate our stay at the Taj property was, they apologised and offered a compensation, the manager persistently requested us to share our bank details but the same compensation has still not been honored even after 20 days.|But our vacation was already spoilt by then, on leaving we had to wait outside the hotel for another 10 minutes for them to locate our luggage and to finally have them loaded into our car.|Unlike other star properties where every staff member smiles and greets you, this property dosent do the same, it really feels very unwelcoming. The property also has a very tiny pool for swimming. Also on checking out they send a person to check the room and take a picture of the minibar. Felt like I was staying in an OYO, never experienced such behaviour in a Taj property.|Very disappointed with the overall stay and experience. Better to skip this property and stay at other resorts/ hotels which are more affordable and with impeccable service.|Definitely won't feel the Taj...
Read moreOverall experience: 4.5/5. The property is located in Panjim and is situated next to a beach. There are shuttle services that take you to their other property - Cidade de Goa Heritage, which has the access to beach.
Room (5/5): Super comfortable rooms with attached bathroom and bathtub. The rooms are pretty spacious and has got ample space for your personal stuff.
Room service(5/5): Very prompt room service. Whenever we asked for anything, it was delivered in no time. We also ordered in-dining food, which was very good in quality as well as quantity.
Gym (5/5): Excellent gym with all common machines required to cover exercises for all body parts. It has dry and cold towels and normal and detox water for hydration.
Spa (5/5): Very clean and hygenic place and spa services were very good.
Restaurant (3.5/5): Breakfast: Breakfast was very good with some excellent options for vegitarians, however, for non-vegetarians, options were limited to just salami's and sausages. Food was very good and staff was very helpful. Dinner: Dinner has 2 options, Ala-carte and Buffet and we opted for buffet. Buffet again has 2 options, veg and non-veg, veg will cost you ₹1200+taxes and non-veg costs ₹2200+taxes. What suprized me was that there were just a few extra dishes in non-veg, one starter, one chicken pizza and 2 main course curreys, along with a non-veg salad. I found this extra cost of ₹1000 for a few more items little exorbitant. Also, be ready to pay extra for drinks like chai or coffee, even if you want a normal machine prepared chai/coffee as these are not a part of buffet. The chaat counter serves the same thing everyday, without any change in menu.
Overall, food was good on some days and very good on some. I would rate dinner over breakfast in terms of taste of dishes. Non veg options are limted, so be prepared to take care of your protein intake yourself.
Special Thanks to the awesome staff members: Eshwar from Gym: He is a super nice human being, ready to help you whatever ways he can. Hifjur from room services: He is just a call away to give you whatever you need. Laveena from Bld cafe: Super awesome human being, she quickly became my kids friend and I hope they will remeber her whenever we...
