Calangute Ocean Wave — Hotel in Goa

Cautionary Warning: Beware of the misleading ratings for this hotel, as they appear to be either paid for or fabricated. This hotel/lodge deserves no more than a dismal 1 or 1.5 rating.|Our experience was nothing short of a nightmare. We booked quadrant rooms for four people, only to arrive and find ourselves squeezed into a room with a queen bed and a floor mattress. The toilets were a nauseating spectacle, the bedsheet was disgustingly dirty, and to add insult to injury, the TV was non-functional. Despite numerous reminders and follow-ups, not a single improvement was made. Instead, we were left to deal with a bunch of uneducated teenagers posing as staff, as there was no senior personnel available to address our concerns.|On the last day, we requested a mere extension for a couple of hours, for which we were willing to pay extra. Shockingly, the staff displayed a complete lack of cooperation and helpfulness. Even the simplest requests were met with indifference.|To make matters worse, the owner's response to our initial feedback was nothing short of appalling. Rather than acknowledging the issues and seeking opportunities for improvement, she chose to blame us. Apparently, our dissatisfaction was seen as a personal grudge against her or the hotel.|We've long since vacated the property, with no intention of ever returning. They show very good pictures on all hotel booking website, but this is very third class guest house. It is not even one star. You will get feeling like you are staying in some government college hostel. Doors are very simple door. Furniture was also very old fashioned. There was roti in balcony and ants were eating that roti. Balcony door lock was not working. When I complained about that to receptionist guy, he said nothing will happen. Commode seat cover was always moving to one side, therefore was not able to sit properly on commode. Wash basin water tap was turned one sided and was not able to turn to middle. On top of that, speed was very low, therefore not able to wash hands properly. We know that, we don't go to guest house to watch TV, but sometimes kids want to watch TV if we have time, but tata sky was not working in TV. They don't provide hand towel. There is no shelfs in bathroom to keep shampoo and conditioner. Sometime we don't want to use shower and sit on stool and bath, but there is no stool in bathroom. Bathroom itself is very small. So think twice before you book this...
