Booked around 10am on 17th Dec and received a booking confirmation and PIN number, received a message from the property via booking.com ap in 10 mins to make a advance payment to confirm the booking but no payment details were provided. Called the property, he said booking is canceled since we didn’t make the payment. Explained that we need the account number to make the payment. He said nothing can be done.called Booking.com customer service and they spoke to the property and confirmed the booking is confirmed and that the property is expecting us. Reached the property and no one was available at reception. Host answered after multiple attempts and spoke rudely. He questioned why we didn’t make the advance payment. Then said that there was no availability and when asked how it generate a confirmation number. Then said the message asking for payment is automated and not his problem. Then said so stay on the terrace coz there is no rooms. After escalating his behaviour to Booking.com he called back and said he didn’t change the status to full the previous day and hence the booking went thru. We stood on the roads for 2 hours with kids trying to book a different property. Seems like it’s not just poor service but a scam to cancel and upset different properties at a higher cost coz they know you are in need at the last min. Disappointing.so many nice hosts are available and these people give others a bad name. I have booked the room using booking.com and made the advance payment too and got the confirmation on booking but when I reached and asked the receptionist, He told me to wait till checkin time ( 12pm) . I went out and returned at 12pm and asked for checkin, the receptionist then said sorry we don't have the rooms available and was trying to shift me to some other hotel which was not at good location so I took the refund and then I had to again start searching for the room which is a pretty hectic job. Rude behavior of staff. Untidy and unprofessional. Go to any other hotel other than this. The staff even refused to help picking the luggage. Dusty furniture. Stray dogs roaming in the hotel.
