Calingut Beach Corner — Hotel in Goa

The hotel was a scam as it's real name is "Calingut Beach Corner". Not "Beach Edge Calangute" as mentioned in Booking.com

We believed it would be a cozy homestay but this place was terrible. Fat cockroaches were roaming here and there, and the room was not even cleaned before we arrived. The bedsheets were dirty and stained. The door of the room didn't even lock...WE FELT EXTREMELY UNSAFE! They sprayed some room fresher to remove foul odor and the floors were greasy. Kitchen had no basic facilities (plates, cups). BATHROOM WAS THE WORST! Everything was broken inside. The staff were horrible and money-minded ppl. They said car parking was free at the time of booking but charged us 200/- per day. They demanded us to pay half of the money during booking which none of the other hotels insisted and asked us to pay for unnecessary things.

Staff rihan and the other guy both were terrible people.They were after our money.They showed us something else but gave us different rooms.There were cockroaches, rats in the room.The curtains were so dirty it was smelling.The bed sheets were so bad i felt it probably had one STD’s.Outside area of hotel is filled with looters and drug mafia.We asked for 1-2 hour extension of our room.And they were telling us to pay the full price and that too by saying aukaad hai nahi to goa kyu ate ho.We stayed here for 3 days here.On the last day we just wanted 1-2 hours extension because of some emergency and they didn’t had any other booking of our rooms.Asked other customers also they were also saying rooms had very bad smell and staff is very very...

Words cannot express how disappointed I am with this hotel. The lack of cleanliness in the room was appalling, and the staff's behavior was downright disrespectful. They were nowhere to be found at the reception, and when they finally showed up, they were rude and had no manners. We felt so unsafe that we had to leave within an hour of checking in. Thankfully, the owner was understanding and refunded our payment. However, it's outrageous that the staff had the audacity to demand an extra fee for our short stay.
