Well somebody written that it's a 5 star type hotel etc, I don't agree with this, but its a good comfortable stay. Let me share pros & cons of Coastal Stays Baga.
Pros: New property- so walls, corners, roof, fan, AC, TV , remotes, wardrobe everything is new. Bed is very comfortable Linens are changed everyday. They are stain free and looks absolutely white. Housekeeping quality is very good, every single corner is cleaned. Bathroom fittings are modern & clean, the tiles are bright. Towels provided are clean & stain free. The commode is single piece floor mounted ( So gives clean appearance to the floor), It would have been great had they have fitted wall mounted commode , nevertheless its neat & clean. So thumbs up. Once you come out out pf the hotel, take a left & you will reach baga beach in 5 mins Take right, you will reach market place in some 7-8 minutes. Baga beach parking rear gate is just in front of hotel, so if you are hiring self driven car it would be very convenient to park your vehicle overnight. Once you enter from the main gate of parking, park your vehicle near the rear gate of parking. The parked car would be just two minute distance from your room. ( Parking charges- Rs. 25 for 1st 4 hrs, then Rs. 15 for every subsequent hours) You can take your wet clothes to the roof top to let them dry. Tea would be supplied on demand. (Chargeable ) Tea maker is also there in room Staff are good. Floor is wooden ( I guess, I never paid much attention to it), whatever- Its good, neat & clean. Lighting is sufficient inside the room.
Cons: Rooms are from small to medium size. No chair inside the room & only a small foldable table is there Big trolley bags have to be kept on floor as there is no bag table provided due to space constraint. Its not a full fledged hotel building, its a residential space changed into a hotel Reception is very small, there is a small gully at the entrance.
Verdict: A very good place to stay. Though may be, I will still go for further online search during my next visit, I would love to stay here once again in case I couldn't get...
Read moreOriginal Review-The property is close to baga beach but the service sucks... Their staffs have no sense of hospitality... the room was okey but i would never prefer to stay in the hotel where the staff is rude and does know how to behave with guests.. they think they are doing some kind of favor to us.. 1.they will not allow anyone to visit your room no matter its your family...1. they did not allow my friends to keep the bags when we were going to chill on the beach...3 they had a problem when a female friend of mine went to use our washroom with my with my wife...they had issues with everything.. we paid them aroud 3k for 5 days but we stayed there for a night and booked a different hotel...casa de royale...(which was awesome).. not suggesting this hotel to fellow travellers
Response to owner's response- Hi Stephanie, first of all I doubt if you stay at the property because you were not present when your staff initiated the foul behavior with us. We had informed the staff that we will be coming to keep our bag in the hotel room booked by our family member. Your staff DID NOT inform or ask us any IDs. If he would have asked the IDs, we would have surely shown but there was no such communication. Also, if your staff would have told us any covid specific norm that you are following, we would have adhered to that. The care that is reflected by your response on the review, didn't reflect on the language or actions of your staff. I suggest if you have the cameras in your premises, you must see the full footage of how badly your staff behaved with my sisters and any brother will take a firm stand on such a cheap behavior that your staff displayed. I am sure your intentions are to take of the staff, property and other guests, but if your staff will be slightly polite like you, it will not ruin the experience. We have stayed in a couple of other hotels and I must say, they were far more hospitable. I would prefer to give zero star but dont have...
Read moreI'm currently staying at Coastal Stays Baga, and I've had a terrible experience so far. On March 20th, I checked into room 104, which had a broken main light (tube light) and a faulty charging cable. I reported the issues to the staff, but despite their assurances that an electrician would fix the problems, no one showed up.
On March 21st, I was moved to room 102 because the staff couldn't fix the issues in room 104. However, I quickly discovered that there was no mobile internet or wifi connection inside the room. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, Mr. Suman suggested that I keep the door or window open to improve the wifi signal, which was an unsatisfactory solution.
Miss Stephanie, another staff member, has not been able to offer me a solution. As of now, I'm still waiting for a resolution while stuck in room 102. Overall, my experience at Coastal Stays Baga has been extremely disappointing. The lack of basic amenities and unhelpful staff make this hotel a terrible choice for any traveler. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay.
Time now is 00:09 22nd March 2023- In continuation to my previous feedback and review and as as response to your reply before 20 mins back from now (it's 00.09am now) 22nd March 2023.
