Update: The blue kite team acknowledged the poor quality of service and experience we had to go through and refunded 50% of the stay. Fair compensation but they need to consider permanent resolution so others don't have to face the same hardship.
SCAM ALERT – Avoid Blue Kite’s El Sereno at All Costs
Our stay at Blue Kite’s El Sereno property in Goa was an absolute nightmare. What’s advertised online is a carefully curated illusion — the reality is appalling.
Filthy Pool, False Photos: The pool was in a disgusting, unusable state when we arrived. It looked nothing like the images on their website. Only after multiple complaints did they attempt a half-hearted cleanup.
Nonexistent Housekeeping: We had to chase staff repeatedly for fresh towels and basic toiletries. Linen isn’t changed for three days — ridiculous in Goa’s humid climate. Basic amenities like toilet paper weren’t even replenished.
No Running Water: One morning we had zero water supply — no showers, no flushing, no washing up. No staff around to fix it, and the manager was utterly useless and unresponsive.
Management Is a Joke: The manager seems incapable of handling even basic responsibilities. After all the issues we faced, there was no apology, no compensation, not even an acknowledgment. Their attitude is shockingly indifferent.
Fake Reviews Everywhere: Don’t trust the glowing reviews you see online — they’re either fake, cherry-picked, or outdated. What you see is NOT what you get. The reality is dirty, disorganized, and disrespectful to paying guests.
This isn’t just a bad stay — it’s a scam dressed up as a holiday rental. Blue Kite is guilty of false advertising, appalling customer service, and gross negligence.

Our recent stay at El Sereno in Goa was hugely disappointing. The property looks great online, but the reality is far from what’s promised.
Unsafe Pool: The pool was dirty on arrival and had broken tiles that actually caused cuts on our feet. It was unusable for most of our stay.
Mattress: all the mattresses were extremely soft to a point where our bodies would sink in leading to terrible backache in the morning for all of us.
Terrible Water Pressure: In three of the four bathrooms, the shower barely worked. We had to use tumblers to bathe. One morning, there was no running water at all.
Power Issues: The house had partial electricity — the refrigerator and water purifier didn’t work, which was a major problem in Goa’s heat.
Poor Housekeeping: Basic supplies like towels, toilet paper, and toiletries weren’t stocked. We had to ask multiple times before anything was done. Linen was changed once during our stay of 4 nights 5 days.
Unresponsive Management: When we raised these issues, the staff were slow to act, and the manager was completely indifferent. No apology, no resolution.
It’s clear this place is poorly maintained and poorly managed. The glowing reviews online don’t reflect the reality — be cautious...
