Glory Lazfina Guest House — Hotel in Goa

Not too good, not too bad. Let me talk about good first. Specious room, big size bed, specious bathroom, clean area, clean bed, clean towels too. Area is very close to beach like 900m or so and 500m from main road. Now bad points, AC is there but no way to control it. Only 1 LED bulb in room, 1 in bathroom, 1 in balcony... So very low light for the bug room. No chairs in the room, no bed side table to keep your belongings on that. Smell of Food (fish) being cooked in restaurant on ground floor keep coming to the first floor. Entrance to hotel is thru this restaurant only, so I don't think it is good for families. No drinking water supply to the room, u need it, go to restaurant and fill it in your bottle, no jug or glasses are given in the room, no curtain on window, they tied some towel or scarf type cloth on the window. Don't opt for breakfast with the room rent. Though the cost is less but so the quantity, no variety, just 2 lachchha paratha, with very less curry and 1 normal qty tea. Young English back packer couple, just checked out of this guest house & i would not recommend this hotel to anyone! The location is ok for the beach, 5 minute walk but many places closer, but the main town action is a good 5-10 minute walk.||||The staff struggle to communicate in English & are very awkward to be around. Not a professional environment. He took our passports to get photocopies & stated we would get them later, upon checkout, 3 nights later he was taking a photo of the passports. ||||We booked through booking.com & presented the confirmation email to them upon arrival, they deleted it! They had no room for us so they checked us in & then on the last night, made us swap rooms which some of our stuff went missing in transit in the middle of the day!||||I could go into the little things as there are many, eg. Very shabby place. Room, bathroom, bed, towels were clean, but the room had only one LED to lite. Just normal plastic chair, no table, no bed side stools to keep phone etc. Food being cooked downstairs will spread smell all over the hotel, and if you don't like smell of fish, u may get annoyed.
