GOLDEN SANDS RESORT — Hotel in Goa

I would highly recommended golden sand resort to family travelers. Its value for money!! We had a very pleasant stay. Noteworthy appreciation to the manager Mr. Bikas who helped us with smooth checkin and checkout. All the other staff members are also very well behaved and courteous. Our all requests to them were met meticulously like food preference, help for rentals, sightseeing , cleaning , including the complain I raised when at midnight the next room guys were partying very loud. They immediately asked them to stop and not disturb other guests.

The highlight of this resort include- Well maintained pool, pool depth 4.5 ft along with a small kids pool along side. Freshly cooked food for lunch and dinner at their Tamboora restaurant and tasty breakfast ( 1 North Indian, 1 South indian, ) 5. Mins walk to Morjim Beach. Calm and quite environment to have some quality family time. Spacious , neat and clean room. Extra bed provided upon request with additional cost and subject to availability. Room has mini fridge and kettle. All basic amenities are there 24 hours hot water with clean shower head and good quality bathroom fittings.

If I visit Nortg Goa again ,undoubtedly I will choose this property. ...

Summary: Stayed here for 2 nights in pool View room. My experience was not good, won't recommend anyone even for short term.

We arrived around 9:30 pm (informed hotel guys 2-3 times about it and in morning too of my check-in date), Even then when we arrived they took 15-20 mins in check-in procedure. They were not able to find out booking in their excel sheet and we helped them in finding that. Attitude of staff was not cooperative, it was like they're doing favour on us.

We ordered dinner (daal fry and 6 chapatis) as soon as they arrived but they took more than 1 hr to deliver in room !!! The excuse was earlier they delivered in different room and that was taken by them.

You can't sleep peacefully in room in morning. You wake up because by their pet dog barking or pool staff cleans pool in morning.

Mattress were old, side springs were close to obsolete. So if you are with kid, you are going to find difficult in sleeping on sides.

Morning breakfast was below average. Very less options and not tasty also. They didn't serve Even boiled eggs every day.

Only positive is location. Around 200 meters from rainbow bar and restaurant which is beach facing resturant. We had breakfast there only as hotel breakfast...

There are places which are certified 5 star and then there are some where the experience enthralls one. Morjim-Ashvem-Mandrem still hold on to the peaceful version of Goan tourism. Tucked away in midst of coconut trees and a stone's throw away from the beach, is this resort. | There are two types of rooms. They are side by side ground floor rooms facing the pool or garden. Also there are individual wooden cottages which look pretty neat. We stayed in the pool view room. The room is pretty spacious with bare necessities. Larger than your regular hotel rooms. Looks new and very clean. Walk out to the balcony and one is right next to the pool. The room service is prompt enough and the staff is courteous. The property isn't really big but it still caters to car parking, a central pool and a small restaurant. || Many places of interest are within 1 Km. The beach is just 5 mins walk. The only downside is the approach road which is narrow and messed up. Short stretch though. || The place is pet friendly. Guest friendly. Basically it's a very relaxed space.
