Kings Villa Resort — Hotel in Goa

Stay at Kings Villa only if you want to have the WORST holiday experience ever. I don't even know where to begin!

While booking this place, we called the concerned person and specifically asked for the Family room. We asked him if this room has a private garden, like the one the King room had. He then showed us the outside of the room over a video call (not the inside) and said this was the Family room. We were fine with it and went ahead with the booking by paying 50% of the total booking fee.

When we arrived at the property and were shown the room, it was completely different than the pictures on the website. On investigation, we discovered that they did not provide us the Family room. One clear evidence was that each room had the first letter of the room category type. The Kings rooms were K-101, K102 etc. The Family rooms were F-101, F-102 etc. Studio rooms were S-101, S102 etc. We had clearly booked the Family room and paid the premium amount as well. However, we were given room number K-110, which clearly was a King room and not the Family room. Essentially, they downgraded us but charged us the upgraded amount. It can't get more unprofessional than this.

And that was just the tip of the iceberg. The A/C turned on for 2 minutes and was off for 15 minutes. The room never got cold even once!! We were sweating bullets and my dog was the one suffering the most. I had to complain about the A/C 5 times every hour. Imagine spending your holiday where all you do is have to remind management that basic amenities don't work.

The so-called rain shower was more of a drop shower. There was barely any water coming out of it and bathing under it was a terrible experience.

When we complained about these problems to the on-site manager and asked for a permanent solution, he turned it around on us blaming us for choosing this room. As though we knew these problems would exist and we consciously chose this room. He then started talking rudely without logic and asked us to call the person whom we spoke to while booking the room. When we did that, we were told that the following morning an electrician and a plumber would come to fix the issues but no one came. Hence, the issues persisted.

What was booked as a 3 night trip, got cut down to 2 nights. And this only because we had paid 1.5 nights' stay. If we had not, we would have left the same day.

In conclusion, if you want to have a horrendous experience, visit this place. If you care even a little bit for your own well being, stay as far away...

Hi Ankit. We had chosen to not stay with you after making an advance payment against our reservation online for a period of 4 nights. However on arrival and seeing the sorry state of your rooms and in room infrastructure we decided to cancel straightaway. The issues we had faced are mentioned below which if addressed will help your resort garner more business. None of your AC's are functioning. In fact they work primarily as blowers of hot air. The fans are one dimensional in its speed with them not working more than the minimum starting speed. Which more or less compounded to your temperature prevalent in the room. The rooms for that price however discounted @ Rs 2500/ night have no additional amenities Like a television set or a STB. Which was not mentioned in your discussion with me. The most disgusting thing was the dirty condition of the bathrooms that are present. Suggest you to have an urgent look in to this if you wish to cater to guests who have a family and kids. The thing that irked me the most was the condescending nature of a few of your staff who stated "that the rooms are in this condition take it or leave it, you wont get better rooms in entire Palolem". Being in this industry this attitude does not augur well for your address.

Overall not at all satisfied with my brief booking and immediate cancellation on arrival. Had booked for 3 cottages. My group consisted of 2 families with 3 kiddos and one...

This is fraud hotel, i have booked this hotel by looking at the reviews. Dnt get deceived by outside look of resort, The rooms are pathetic. Hot water does not work and bathroom exhaust fan does not work. croaches in the room and ants evey where and mosquitoes also present and crows outside the room evey where. I have asked for mosquito net as i have kid with me they didnt provide and as nothing was working i have asked them to provide atleast differenet room and they didnt do tha also, paying 3500 rs per day for this hotel is complete waste.

While booking only i have called them asked whether they can arrange mosquito net, they said its possible and also i have confimed them i will be extending my checkout time and then they asked me to pay half amount and i have agreed for that but on the check out day they were asking me to checkout while i was going out and then they said there a miscommunication between them and booking manager and finally during the checkout they have asked to me pay total amount which is really disgusting , you cnt trust this hotel people.
