The review is for the cafe. Went in with a lot of expectations because of the great rating. We were greeted with unfriendly faces. There were two people waiting the tables with a couple other tables being occupied. Unfortunately for us, the person who came in to take the order did so after multiple failed attempts to make eye contact. He first indicated we should go to the counter (not sure if he was lazy to take those 6 steps to come to our table to take the order). We place the order and i requested if the brown rice in my burrito bowl could be replaced with regular rice. Immediate reaction was that they do not change their standard menu, their chef gets ‘angry’ if asked to do so. We placed the order and hoped for the best although by now hopes were dwindling. The food comes after 40 mins ! Just two items. The Mexican bhel was a disaster - Cornitos nachos mixed up with a mayo dip. The Mexican bowl was even worse if that was possible. None of the ingredients paired well with one another, it just seemed like a hotchpotch of whatever their short tempered chef felt like throwing together. None of them were seasoned well either. In short the meal was an absolute disaster and as expected caused stomach issues. Also did i mention, the pricing just doesn’t make sense for the quality of ingredients used. The ambience is so-so nothing to call out. I wouldn’t recommend the place to anyone.

I’ve been staying at the hostel for a few days and extended my stay as the atmosphere is such a vibe! Happened to get a female dorm which is very accommodating and seems to bring likeminded people. The girls I met during my stay were so lovely and we became friends in an instant. Haven’t been in better hostel so far! The stuff is friendly and helpful, rooms and toilets are cleaned everyday and topped up with essentials. Any addressed feedback is being acknowledged and fixed immediately. They help you with train bookings, pick ups, drop offs, couldn’t ask for more. The food in restaurants is beautiful and delicious, so cool to have a vegan vegetarian places living it! So handy especially when you’re on a plant based diet. The place is a vibe itself. So easy going, and I’m saying that from a not so hostel friendly person. Nights are quiet so you can get your own sleep, if you want to stay up socialising you can do it in a common area, so everyone can find themselves whatever they’re up to. It’s very friendly environment, encourages you to meet new people and hang out together. And also they have the best manager, very caring about his guests. We all need person like him in our lives! As a female solo traveler I’ve never felt unsafe being here like the other places, always approached with respect. Definitely be back if I’m visiting Goa again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We ordered two items on the menu : the green tea kombucha and the mexican bowl. The kombucha was absolutely good - 5/5 The ambience of the place is also very good - 5/5 But the air conditioning in the place was not working for a quite a few time that we were there. While I initially excused that and was not going to mention it in the review, but noticed another review where they mentioned the exact same problem. Moving on the Mexican bowl, the bowl looked very pretty and instagrammable so a definite 5/5 for the looks. However, when it came to taste, the food was completely bland. The restaurant prides itself on using high-quality ingredients, but simply putting those on a plate doesn’t make up for the lack of flavor. Honestly, it gives vegan food a bad name and that’s disappointing, because I’ve had delicious vegan dishes before. So taste wise I would give this a 1/5 Also since you boast about sustainability I think you should offer your guests water in a glass, I don't think that is a lot to ask rather than forcing them in a way to purchase bottled plastic water, by not offering them water. So overall if you are looking for the place where the food looks instagrammable this is definitely the place to be, but if you want tasty food I think you can give this place a skip

Had to eat breakfast here as we had stayed for a couple of days at the adjacent Akasa Goa and their "complimentary breakfast" is provided at this restaurant. This is a vegan restaurant (they do serve eggs... ahem!) and the almond milk coffee we took was not good, probably coz we are not used to having it. However, the place didn't feel hygienic at all, there were limited tables and at one point we had to wait a little with the baby to sit for breakfast. The roof was also leaking at one spot. The cushions had so many stains on them that we decided to take a seat on the bench without cushions. My wife and I were discussing that if the outside itself looks like this, how bad would the kitchen be!! I also found a hair in my pineapple juice once!! The dosa we took was extremely sour, probably the batter was a day older than it should have been! The pancakes could have been good if not for the exorbitant amount of sesame seeds on them. The breadomlette butter was very tasty though. We didn't try any other food here as it was vegan and hence went out for lunch and dinner. There is no alcohol served here either. There is a decent coffee place right opposite and one can visit there for "regular" food. Having said that, the staff in particular were polite and service was alright, so no complaints there. And to the owner of this place, I have read through the reviews here to see if my experience matches with fellow customers', and I see that you have been replying very rudely to the negative feedbacks! Please understand that all customers wouldn't simply put up false reviews just for the heck of it, we dont know you personally and hence wouldn't have a reason for doing so! Learn to take EVERY review with the same attitude and work on them if required. Dont be under the impression that you are running a perfect place with no scope for improvement at all! Dont come off with a threatening demeanor to the negative reviews and try to intimidate them, not cool at all! And MOST IMPORTANTLY, please stop trying to establish a narrative that the negative reviews are by people who are trying to target vegan cafes or your staff etc. You are really full of it if you say that your whole purpose is to promote a sustainable living or help your staff. I mean, come on!! You are running a business there and at the end of the day, its ALL ABOUT your sustainability, so lets not kid ourselves!! Finally, to pu it in your own language: This is my review with my experience at your cafe, and if you dont like it, just...

I’d wanted to try this place having been past a couple of times and thinking it looked good and the reviews were really good - also wanting to support a small locally run restaurant. When I arrived (late afternoon) there was only one other table of 2 being served. In spite of this it took 30 mins for our drinks to arrive and around 50 for our food. Within that time, several other tables (around 4) came and were served before us and their food arrived, most even eating paying and leaving before our food had arrived. The staff knew this was extremely slow exclaiming “finally” when they brought our food but didn’t offer an apology for this. This being said, my partner ordered the teriyaki burger which was pretty delicious. I ordered the hummus, tofu and quinoa wrap. Only one of my two wraps had any quinoa or tofu in which was bitterly disappointing and the hummus was unseasoned. I tried to ask the waiter about this on several occasions but they would just nod then not come over. They also offered us water, asking if we wanted ice or not, which we said we did. They then 10 mins later and after us printing them again several times brought us warm ice less water. It was busy and other people seemed to be enjoying their experience - maybe I ordered poorly but honestly I wouldn’t go again - Zest is a bit further up Palolem beach with an array of vegan and veg options so I personally would go there instead. When we were leaving I tried to speak to the waiter about the slow service and he just walked off - it just seemed a strange vibe to me but clearly lots of other people like it! Maybe just don’t order the wrap, and salt your own hummus?

(To add I think they may have been having issues with the power to the restaurant which is obviously not their fault, however this wasn’t communicated to us it’s just what I’ve inferred from...
