My experience has really exceeded my expectation. The place is fully equipped to host guests in the hotel. The restaurant is one of the best in this area.

Power Backup : While there is power (electricity) issue in the entire area, Ourem Palace is equipped with power backup.

Restaurant : The food is affordable and amazingly delicious. Try the Kashmiri pulao if possible, it was something new and superb! Overall, all food and drinks are great.

Stuff : All stuffs are friendly and very helpful including the cleaning stuff, manager Divakar.

Room quality : The rooms are beautiful sea view. Tye sea is slightly visible even from the garden view room. When I entered the room, I found the washroom stinky (apparently because it was left unused for some time). But the cleaning stuff and manager supported a lot to clean it multiple times and make it usable immediately.

Special request : My wife had connected with the owner separately to plan a birthday surprise for me. The owner helped her to arrange cakes and all.

Corrective feedback / disclaimer : Provide room freshners. Consider arrangements for special events in the garden area. The parking is 100 - 150 meter away.

However, it's important to also mention a serious concern: the business reportedly does not compensate its workers with proper pay, instead offering only food in exchange for labor.

While the ingredients are basic, they’re used well. The simplicity works in their favor, but it doesn’t justify overlooking ethical labor practices. Supporting fair and respectful treatment of staff should be a standard in any business.
