Resort Rio — Hotel in Goa

This was the worst experience i ever had till date . i had booked the room from 9th june to 12th june for 2 adults and 2 kids , but while check in they said the room is booked for 1 person after arguing the changes were made . Then they explained the booking details and offer which were available in my booking , there too they were not offering me according to my booking and when i said them to check in there system about my booking and offer he straight way very rudely refused to check and showed me the booking details and said there is no mention of the offer . Then i had to show them the confirmation mail where i have asked specifically mention all the offer in detail while booking . Then i mailed that mail to the reception than the booking was done . the whole process took at least 45 min . which was very frustrating since after long travel we done expect the check in process to take so much time and a very very rude staff . My problem have just began they took a deposit of 3000 for using restaurant food and was said that after deducting your restaurant bills the balance amount will be refunded . While check out the reception manager Mr. Stephin said since its sunday and early morning checkout there is no one in accounts department so by tomorrow you will get the refund in your account . Its been 18 day now i have still not received my refund and Stephin do not answer to my only reply by msg. that he will call back later which he never call back . Never expected such a big resort would cheat there customer this way . I request all to when ever you book the resort kindly take in writing the complete details of your booking and don't leave the resort till you don't get your deposit refund . They will never refund you the deposit...

This place is a nice luxury fit to relax near Baga Beach. The wine shop is just outside the resort though they don't allow outside food and drinks but you can manage it. The inside pool is the best thing about the resort and they have a pretty decent crowd. The staff at the hotel are courteous. The breakfast is excellent. Couldn't manage to use the rest of the restaurants.Overall a lovely place to unwind!. Wish they had a private beach or access to a beach from the property. Also the room I stayed didn't had a fan in the room, so do lookout first before checking into the room. The property is located close to Baga and Calangute beaches, and access is easy, even if you choose to walk it. Cabs are a bit pricey, but if you negotiate well, you can drive a bargain. For couples, do rent a scooter to drive around the countryside, or beaches like Vagator and Anjuna. The 3 bedroom villa had a breath taking view. Neatly designed spacious rooms furnished with all modern amenities. Living room attached with dining room, huge patio with private lawn overlooking part of the baga river & a common toilet/ bath on the ground floor. A stairway leading to 3 spacious and beautiful bedrooms with attached bath and balconies in each room. The villa was a dream - to live in luxury. Thoroughly enjoyed the peace and calm of this resort villa. The package included all meals. We enjoyed their scrumptious meals. A variety of Goan , Indian, Asian and continental mix made for a flattering...

Stayed for 2 nights. Room 708. It stinks a lot and when complained about it then got the reply from housekeeping staff that due to some ongoing work nearby, this issue will persist. Solution was to keep the balcony door closed.

Food - No Jain food available and and took ages for preparing same. Although buffet was opted and mentioned to hotel on day 1 about food specification, then also need to give reminder always when ever reach restaurant for food. Apart from buffet items, other items are extremely costly. Example - redbull costs 575Rs.

Location - Away from all beach. On secluded location where you don't have choice other than asking car or bike on rent guy who is the only person standing next to hotel. Hence no possibility of doing any bargain as you are without any options.

Rooms - Twin beds not available. Our office trip was planned at hotel and 2 persons were kept in single room. Hotel don't have any rooms with twin bed and asked colleagues to sleep...
