Cafe Rio Bar — Restaurant in Goa

I recently visited Rio Cafe and tried their Veg Club Sandwich, Cold Chocolate, and Pizza, and I was thoroughly impressed.

The Veg Club Sandwich was fresh and flavorful. The layers of crisp vegetables, cheese, and a light spread created a perfect balance. The bread was toasted just right, adding a satisfying crunch. It was hearty and filling, making it a great option for a light meal or a quick bite.

The Cold Chocolate was a delightful treat. It was rich, creamy, and perfectly chilled. Not overly sweet, it had the right blend of chocolate and milk, making it a refreshing drink to complement the meal. The presentation was also visually appealing, with a drizzle of chocolate on top.

As for the Pizza, it was a solid offering. The crust was thin and crispy, with a nice chewiness in the center. The toppings were fresh and generously spread, though I would have preferred a bit more seasoning. However, the cheese was gooey and delicious, which made up for any minor flaws. It’s a decent choice if you’re craving a classic pizza.

Rio cafe bar is well placed near the lobby and also facing the swimming pool. One can sit in the cafe or alternatively sit outside. The atmosphere is relaxed but at the same time lively as people coming into the resort or going out may pass through the cafe and so it's nice to sit here and watch what's happening around you while enjoying a drink and some snacks. The cafe also serves seasonal fruit juices such as kiwi juice which was gorgeous and of course we had lots of coconut juice. Went there on Sunday. While the staff was prompt, as we were the only table, the food was okayish. For two people it was 1880 or so. Which is fine since it is situated in a 5 star resort. The most disappointing part was that even though a 10% service charge was levied with the bill, the staff decided to take extra tip by only returning 100 from the 2000 we gave in cash.
