So many things were not up to standard as we arrived to the house very disapointing. The kitchen was rather dirty, sticky cabinets and all equippment like in a commune of young people nothing matching and not 10 things of everything. We were planning on celebrating and cooking a birthday-Christmas dinner for my 60 year old mother on the 24th December but we did not want to or could use the kitchen. You can not cook any complicated meals there no oven and the microwave broken. There isn’t even 10 chairs at the dining table. The outside area is not that great, there are only two sunbeds and the matresses were both torn and old. There is not a seating area for 10 people to sit ouside for dinner. The garden is big and small tables here and there in it and not easily moved. Red little ants all over that bite you and by the pool. If you like to take a sunbath this is not the outside area to choose, to many trees that block the sun. There was a broken glasstable, all taped in the livingroom. All linen was visible old and had some stuck stains on them. Pillows were very bad, to big and stuffed so everyone had a bad neck after sleeping There is just one washing machine for all the house and you could only wash on very low heat and not whenever (maybe that is just India) The shower drain in one of the bedrooms was not working well so the water flooded all over the floor each time. Fluor lightbulbs all around, not very cozy and all the light switches in the hous were so dirty and sticky. One aircondition in one bedroom had an animal in it or something alive. The house manager Alex was great and very helpful and did everything we asked him to do. We complained about all the things that were not working or missing and they took a whole day to fix, clean and bring new things to the house but it was so much hazzle and we did a lot ourselves to make things cozy. This is just not the thing you want to be doing two days before christmas in an exspensive “luxury” villa! The cleaning ladies were very polite but we sometimes had to ask them and Alex to clean when needed and f.ex. empty toilet trash if you wanted it emptied, they did not do it every day. |Not the luxury we expected for the price we were paying. We asked for a refund for the first two days but they offered us a refund of the cleaning fee for two days. We are very experinced travellers and this was not up...

Read moreI travel once or maybe twice a year. When I travel I am finicky about where I stay. I stay away from properties that look picturesque just for the reason that they are too good to be true. However mandrem house was a total exception. The property is too good to be true. Large bedrooms, brilliant open spaces, wonderful chilling area’s, completely equipped kitchen, luxurious swimming pool and the most convenient location. The pictures do no justice to what I have experienced in this Uber luxurious villa that I have spent the most comfortable holiday in for 5 days. Can’t wait to go back and live here again. Live here to believe everything that I have written. PS this place gets you the most comfortable sleep ever and the most brilliant view when you wake up surrounded by full grown and exquisite trees. Very tastefully done and very well...
