** Refer review of the Cafe from Shivani T
** Continuing from the other account as Google won’t let me add more text. My personal take-aways and piece of mind:
IT WAS JUST AN ORDER which didn’t warrant GOONISH behaviour and OPEN THREATS. The cafe could have plainly refuted to take back/ cancel the order
I’m writing this review after landing back at Delhi cz i was scared for our safety & didn’t have the guts to post this while in Goa
Our request to speak to the manager was also not heeded. We contemplated calling the manger but in view of the open threats; we found it wise to speak once we are back home.
We were constantly looking over our shoulders as we were staying hardly 1km from the cafe
I was flabbergasted with the pathetic image ABC associates with Delhi & its crowd. This points to a ridiculous disregard for indigenous tourists from certain parts of the country; akin to Racism (sadly for him we are the fellow countrymen and ppl of same colour)
Such treatment from staff a reputed cafe in broad daylight is deplorable. I really hope the management takes cognizance of this & take mitigating actions
There seemed to be some displeasure from the staff; which we couldn’t place. Was it bcz of the kid or maybe cz we weren’t chic/cool enough for your artistic Mandrem abode??? If there was a problem, you could have let us know for heaven’s sake, instead of THREATENING/ MISBEHAVING with guests
If the vibe of your cafe was disrupted by a 2 yr old kid who became cranky due to hunger; please mention at your cafe KIDS NOT ALLOWED as is the case in most pubs/ bars
Lastly, thanks Artjuna for forever ruining GOA for us. I was the one without kid; in no circumstances i would come back to GOA with/without my kid
This appalling behaviour is the first for me in over a decade of travelling India & abroad. For me, I’m sure it will be the last; but I’m not sure if it would be the last for guests at your cafe!!
To me, it doesn’t look like an isolated incident as I’m of the firm belief that there would be more such stories of AGGRESSION and IMPUNITY. Cz no one from the cafe intervened while ABC was misbehaving with our group; except this one guy who had just reported to work
Pointing to how dumb we were for not understanding basic waffle sizes; doesn’t change anything for me. It shows a poor reflection of cafe’s culture & hospitality
I could give you a 1/2 ⭐️, if there’s was...

Ambience: The café has a cool, relaxed vibe, with an eclectic mix of rustic and modern decor. Read moreNestled in the charming locale of Mandrem, Artjuna Cafe is a hidden gem that effortlessly blends art, ambience, and good vibes. This artistic cafe offers an enchanting experience that's sure to leave an impression.
The cafe's ambience is nothing short of lovely, radiating positive energy that envelops you as you step inside. It's a haven for creative souls, with an in-house bakery that adds to its allure. Whether you're in the mood for a beer or a refreshing fruit juice, Artjuna has it all. As a pure vegetarian, I didn't sample the food, but the juices were a delightful treat on a warm day.
One notable feature is that Artjuna Cafe is a non-smoking establishment, ensuring a clean and smoke-free environment for all. The cafe also offers a unique shopping experience, with clothing items for sale, adding to the artistic vibe.
The walls are adorned with artistic decor, featuring a captivating array of paintings and posters of events. It's a visual delight that complements the overall ambiance.
Artjuna Cafe boasts a generous parking space, catering to both cars and two-wheelers. However, it's important to note that this cafe is often quite busy. For a more relaxed experience, I recommend visiting during the noon hours when the crowd is relatively thinner.
While the experience at Artjuna Cafe is delightful, it's worth mentioning that the rates are slightly on the higher side, so be prepared for that aspect.
In summary, Artjuna Cafe in Mandrem is a place where art and ambience come together to create a unique and unforgettable experience. Whether you're there for the creative atmosphere, refreshing drinks, or a bit of shopping, it's a spot that's worth a visit, especially if you're looking for a tranquil escape from the...
