Exceptional Hospitality and Guidance: Mrs. Sherlyn, the owner of the hotel, played an integral role in making my stay truly memorable. Her hospitality was top-notch, and she went out of her way to make sure I felt at home during my entire stay. Her guidance and insights into the local attractions, restaurants, and cultural experiences were invaluable, making my trip to South Goa an unforgettable one.
Clean and Well-Maintained Swimming Pool: The hotel's on-site swimming pool was an added delight. I appreciated the fact that it was regularly cleaned and well-maintained, ensuring a refreshing and hygienic swimming experience. After a day of exploring the nearby attractions, taking a dip in the pool was the perfect way to unwind and relax.
Complimentary Tourist Bus Ride: One of the highlights of my stay was the complimentary tourist bus ride offered by the hotel to explore South Goa's prime locations. Read moreI booked the room through MMT. Only good thing about the place is location, AC and balcony. Donot go by the pics. Even the pool is super dirty just like the room. I dont understand how MMT is putting such dirty hotels in there list. I guess this hotel has two types of rooms : One for people who are booking directly and one for people who are booking through MMT. Mind it guys if you are booking through MMT then you are going to spoil your mood. There are few points I would like to highlight :
First let me state that I am aware that you get what you pay for. And I've no problem whatsoever with living spartanly. As long as it is fresh and that the hotel's description of themselves is consistent with the truth. The order Lady in the reception, Shirley (?!) didn't ever understod her part at the hotel, except beeing rude and grumpy....
For 15 nights I paid (in different currencies) 1950 Sek €172 $186 £148 Rs 15,500
Cleaning doesn't automatically take place daily, you have to leave your keys at the reception and let them know. You have to pester them every single time about toilet paper and every single time they fail to put new ones. If something needs to be fixed in the room, it is not enough to tell the reception, you been told to tell the handyman Francis. So it was up to me to look for him.
Bed linen and towels smell clean but are full of disgusting!! stains. Not to mention the bed mattress which was really NASTY!! Same thing with the pool wouldn't even dip little toe in it. I stayed at the Williams for two weeks and only once was it cleaned properly.
Speaking of the pool, it "opens" at 8 in the morning and then people in in until around midnight. And people bath in it with clothes on or in undies...
Williams claims they have 24/7 room service, they absolutely do not! There is not even an intercom in the room. The lobby bar may have been there once upon a time, but it was probably a long time ago.
People I spoke to who went to Colva for many years said that Williams was once really luxurious, but as I said, that was a long time ago.
Something good then? Yes, the guys at the reception were very nice and were really good at English.
Proximity to the beach, takes about 10 minutes...
