Firdaws — Hotel in Great Himalayan Range

'Firdaws' is exactly as the name suggests - paradise on the top of a hill overlooking the mighty Himalayan snowclad ranges with a stunning 180 degree view. We were there for a month and believe me we were mesmerized by its location and views right from the moment we stepped into this beautiful home (the entire is property is so well-maintained - Kudos to the host & staff) run by an amazing host and now a friend 'Shiny' and her little feline the cutie pie 'Ella'. The back side of the property is surrounded by gorgeous pine tree jungles, the smell of which touches you every time you take a breathe. And the best part is the property open up to this beautiful trail which leaves you with a feeling of serenity when you walk through it. You can take the trail to reach a waterfall through the Kanyal village and the same trail on the other side opens up to the Old Manali and Hidimba Temple. Our host Shiny was kind enough to accompany us & show us around. This place has all the urban necessities required for a long stay. For someone like me who is looking to work from there will get the luxury of stable wifi connection, no power cuts, wooden sound proof rooms to give you an aesthetic feel with best meeting experiences & delicious home cooked meals served on time (Do try their 'Mutton Curry', the best I have had so far). Another best part was the portico and the extended terrace where you can sit & gaze at the mountains, pine trees, listen to the chirping of the birds (I lost count at a point by looking at the variety of the birds you see around the property) after a long tiring day at work. We couldn't have asked for more than this. It felt as a home for us. Thank you so much Shiny for hosting us and making our stay so comfortable & memorable. We are grateful that we met you, never ever imagined that we will spend the best of our day's there. "I recently stayed at Firdaws for almost 3 weeks and I must say, it was an incredible experience! The location is simply breathtaking with stunning mountain views all around. The homestay is situated in a peaceful and serene area, away from the hustle and bustle of the main town, making it the perfect place to unwind and relax.

The home-cooked food was absolutely delicious. The host, Shiny, was one of the best hosts I have ever come across. They were warm, friendly and made me feel right at home.

The rooms were spacious, clean and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities. The highlight of my stay was definitely the open space right outside of my room which offered panoramic views of the mountains and made for the perfect spot to enjoy my morning cup of tea.
