Recently visited Manali as an impromptu trip with my parents and booked this hotel based on a friend's recommendation late night en route. It was a delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for the rest of my stay. The hotel is based on the Pirates of the Caribbean theme. The rooms , table , wooden interiors are all based on the franchise. The highlight of my trip was undeniably the stunning mountain view from my room's balcony. Waking up to the sight of towering snow capped peaks in pristine white was nothing short of magical. The expansive windows allowed me to immerse myself in the view. Aside from the breathtaking view, the hotel itself was superb. The room was properly furnished, and equipped with all the amenities one could need for a comfortable stay. The hotel staff deserves special commendation for their exceptional service. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that my every need was met. Whether it was arranging transportation, providing recommendations for local attractions, or simply offering a warm smile, their hospitality was simply charming. Special mention to Kuldeep, the hotel manager who was very accomodative and considerate, even when we had been checked out we had to wait at the hotel for a few more hours because of the rains , he tended to us and gave good company and made sure we were comfortable. Food was delicious especially the Channa Batura which we had for breakfast during our stay. Other delectable dining options too. If you're looking for a serene retreat with breathtaking mountain views and unparalleled hospitality, look no further.

Hotel Smugglers is one of the best hospitality experiences that I have had, after being fortunate enough to have stayed in many star properties throughout India. The rooms are clean, spacious with exceptional views of Friendship Peak, and the Manali Valley. All rooms have heating through Air Conditioning. Food was pretty good too, with decent pricing. Talking about the staff, we found them to be very helpful and polite, always ready to go support you and make you feel comfortable. On the last day when we shifted to a different room because of a booking problem, we found that the Heating was not working due to technical issues, the front desk team provided us with extra blankets and gave their own portable heaters. They also kept a tab that we were not feeling cold (with temperature approaching Zero Degrees) Would highly recommend a stay here if you are in Manali. Only downside being its uphill location, but you can hire a scooty/auto easily through the hotel itself.

Perfect stay for 4D 3N. Offered a Barbosa Room by the Hotel Authority and the room was sufficiently spacious for 04 of us (02 Adults and 02 kids). The room ergonomics is very good. The bathroom & the toiletries provided were of good quality. Service is extremely good, prompt & on time. The room was attached with a balcony with a clear view of snow covered mountain tips. The way the hotel representatives responded with "Haan Ji" is mind blowing. Only a small suggestion to the hotel, the opaque glass between the room & the wash room should have a blind or a curtain as though the glass is opaque, but the movement can be seen when someone is using the washroom. There is a small play zone near the reception, where any one can pass some time/leisure period. In a nutshell, a perfect stay for family with kids. Kids also enjoyed a lot.

Worst experience ever among my stays at various locations and in certain hotels. It is not a 4-star hotel. It is a 2-star hotel. They have not uploaded the recent pics of their hotel room. When I asked them for the latest pics, they shared the old ones on their website only. Their furniture (sofa) was in bad shape, table had cracks in it so afraid of keeping things on it. Whenever someone books a room please do ask them for the recent room pics. They are charging high rates for no-reason. When I mentioned that I will rate them on the website they cancelled my booking on booking.com on the check-out date so that I won’t be able to rate them. There should be an audit for such hotels who claim to provide 4-star services

A 2-star hotel because of:

Service was poor - As everyday you have to call them multiple times for the basic toiletries and other room amenities when they are missing after cleaning. Eg: With 2 people living in the room they will keep only 1 clean towel and for the 2nd one we have to call. On 1st day they didn’t even give the slippers and we have to ask for that. After cleaning the room new coffee cups were not provided, thus again we have to call service line to get them. Water bottle was missing some of the days

A 4-star hotel would have a checklist when cleaning the room if they have provided all the basic toiletries or other room facilities while cleaning

Inadequate Basic Facilities - Basic facilities like providing water bottle. They give only 1 water bottle for 2 people in the room and that too for the most expensive room in their hotel. Also, they didn’t have the locker facility or the iron and ironing board which a 4-star hotel definitely has these in the highest paid rooms. Even for getting the slippers we have to call the service desk

Inhospitable environment - Worst part was when my wife was not feeling well and it was our check out time, I asked for the doctor or a doctor number from the front desk but the lady at the front desk kept didn’t provide such information and kept on reminding us of the check-out. Thus they didn’t show any hospitality towards this scenario and instead argued that this their duty.

A 4-star hotel at least would have a doctor’s number to coordinate which was missing and they were rude instead of being apologetic

Food Quality - Average food quality. 1st day I ordered spring rolls and they were made from dosa batter with vegetables in it. I sent them back but what I received back was the same dosa batter spring rolls. As the breakfast was included in our price so they mentioned that it is an ala carte breakfast. But the menu for ala carte was so small. Ala Carte menu didn’t include the fruits, juices etc. some basic things which you may want to have during the breakfast.

Overall a 2-star...

Very beautiful and memorable experience 🤗👍at Hotel Smugglers. We visited hotel Smuggler in the month March. Every thing is up to mark, i will share every thing one by one below and I never impressed so much with any hotel that I write so much ling review.

Location - if i have give number than I will give 110 out of hundred. Its near about 2 km from mall road, 1 km from old Manali and 500meters from world famous attraction Hadimba Devi Temple. Its situated in upper Nasogi srounded by apple orhid and snow peaked mountain. You can witness all major moutains from your balcony Rotang pass, Hampta Pass and paduroopa. What else you expect- mund blowing snowcapped mountain view srounded by apple orhid and devdar forest away from made crowd of city.

Staff- The cherry on the cake is there Staff, they are extra humble and sweet. They are allways in there tow to make your stay memorable. We are so impressed by there staff they make big difference.

Rooms- we booked jack sparrow room which is situated in 3rd floor. Its a theme based hotel and they made the interior of room on the theme of Jack sparrow. Room has all the modren and luxury amenities in room starting from Hot and cold AC, luxury spring mattress, tea & coffee maker, complete toiletries, hair dryer, bath rob and much more. We have private balcony with 2 chairs and Table. You can witness full manali from your balcony.

Service and Food- They have litle unique rule that if you order food in room than you have to pay 10% extra on room service or you will eat food in thier boat house restaurant. And they mentioned in there menu it will take at least 20to 25 minutes to delver the order. There are scope of improvement in service. Food is good value for money.

Other Service - they have there own zym, massage room, disco, lawn, playing area and much more.

I say only its not a hotel its a 4 star resort and you will find everything in the hotel. I am highly recommended this hotel for couples...
