We had booked at Hotel Accolade during our overnight halt at Ahmedabad while going towards Mount Abu. The primary reason was because of its proximity to CG Road where we wanted to shop for Ghagra Choli (traditional wear).
The hotel staff was kind and courteous to follow up with Yatra on our behalf to settle the issue.
The hotel was neat and the room was quite well furnished. The room size was a bit small for a family of three to stay but I guess for a single night it is more than comfortable. Though the bathroom was clean and well maintained, shower curtains were stained and bit torn. It had all the necessary grooming kits, from the usual Shampoo, Soap, Shower Gel and Shower Cap to Hair Dryer, Shaving kit, Comb, Toothbrush and Paste. Hot water was not available throughout the day but you can ask the staff to turn the geyser on. But you will have to wait for 30 mins to get proper hot water.
The bed was big and comfortable but the bedsheets was torn from one side.
The room had the usual AC, big LCD TV with local cable connection and Coffee maker.
In the morning, a Newspaper was hung outside on the door. One thing I was surprised in the morning was to see that my car washed and cleaned. It was dirty and muddy after long drive from Mumbai during rainy season.
There were not many guests for buffet breakfast so the menu was À la carte. The breakfast was good and sufficient enough.
The hotel has a very small parking place, just enough for three cars in their compound.
One complaint was that we could not get WIFI connectivity in the hotel. The hotel had given us a scratch card from Tata Indicom that had a PIN which had to be entered along with our Mobile number after connecting to the hotel's router. Then another pass code would be SMSed on the registered mobile number. But we never got this pass-code. We tried contacting the staff for assistance but they too were clueless. We were quite tired that night to bother about the wifi so we ignored it. I hope they would have a easier and simpler...
Read moreThe photos are exactly as what a room is. The place is really lovely. We went there for a day with family. Very clean rooms. Slight problem with the ac not being super, super cold, but that was fine, because it was cold enough. ||Very helpful staff. And I am very happy and grateful that they let me check in early. They are normally fully booked as it's not a very big hotel, so I would advise you to book early. ||The location is really nice 'cause it's about a kilometer from the law of college garden. market and street food area, and it's about a couple of kilometers from the riverfront. Sabarmati Ashram is about 6 kilometers away, I think. So it's really well located, and it's got all the main joints with an easy reach. The only thing to be aware of is there is a train line that runs close to the hotel, and there might be some noise from the train, though it didn't really bother us, but it may bother some lights sleepers.||They serve good vegetarian breakfast and I would advise you to get that included in your room tariff, if possible. They are quite flexible with whether you eat it at check in or check out, depending on...
Read moreThe Rooms (R.No.409) are such that the toilets of each room is in proximity of the next rooms bedside. Whenever your neighborhood uses the toilet the bad smell of his poop and pee diffuse into your room and give the experience of sleeping in a public toilet at a busy bus station. This happened to me in midnight that very pungent bad smell started covering the whole room and caused nausea to me. I was so tired that couldn't afford to get up and call the reception and tried to resolve the by myself issue by opening the main door of the room and could sleep hardly that night. I reported the issue to the reception in the early morning but they didnt agree and didnt support me , rather they denied that no other customers have ever raised such type of issue. We opted to check out im 2 hours before the due time and even didnt had the complimentary breakfast today because of such treatment we received here. we shall opt for consumer care help for our discomfort. Kindly avoid this type of hotels. Such people fool the customers and everything whi h matters to them...
